And'l was laying in his bed asleep. Though it was obvoius by his tossing and turning that he was not getting a good night sleep. Plus he was mumbling to himself and he sound scared. And'l's body was covered in a cold sweat. Hexeth crawled up into Andol's bed leaving scarth marks on the side of it and siad to him Mine whats worng. What is it. Mine? Leaf was chirping at And'l. She was trying to wake up becuase she knew what was going on. It was the reason that he did not sleep that much. Becuase of his nightmare's that he had. The blue dragon and the green flit looked at him worriedly.

And'l could see it all the people that had bullied him and the people that had made fun of him and that were mean to him. It was like they were all back and it was all worse like they were trying to get reveage on him for being Sreached while they wern't. They called him all the names they used to. Though this was worse becuase becuase they pulled his percoius firelizard form his arms and took her away form him and the more her called all he heard was her frighted chirp. Then nothing. He cried for Leaf to come back.

Hexeth rubbed his head agnist And'l and siad Mine please stop being scared I am not going to let them do that to you. I am not going to let anything happen to you. I won't let anything happen to Leaf ethier. She is right here. Just wake up and look Mine. Please wake up. I promise I will keep you safe. Leaf licked the side of And'l's face to try and let him know that she was there. Though still And'l laid there right in the middle of his nightmare.

Uu’ian woke suddenly and stared wildly into the darkness, keeping as still as he could. What was happening? His eyes rolled around like a spooked runnerbeast’s trying to make sense of the darker shapes in the dim room. When Steadfast landed lightly on his chest Uu’ian thought his heart was going to pound right out of his chest before he brought the winged shape into focus. ‘Shells Steadfast are you trying to kill me?’ Uu’ian gasped, keeping his voice down to avoid waking anyone else. Suddenly everything made sense, he wasn’t in danger he was in the weyrling barracks with Tombath and the other weyrlings, he’d just been woken up by some unusual sound. Hexeth’s appears to be in some distress.[/color] Tombath supplied, though the bronze didn’t open his eyes or lift his muzzle from between his front feet.

That made sense. Andol must be having a nightmare and the noises that Uu’ian now realised were Leaf chirping softly and Hexeth moving about must have woken Uu’ian. He slipped out of bed and padded softly across to Andol’s cot, trying not to wake any other sleeping weyrling pairs. ‘Andol.’ He whispered touching the other boy’s shoulder gently ‘Andol, you’re having a bad dream, I know they say you shouldn’t wake someone who’s dreaming but you don’t look or sound like you’re having fun and Leaf and Hexeth are very upset. Please.’

Andol just laid there. He could still see the bad images in his head. He wanted to get away, but he could not. It was then that he started to mumble abit. Though in his dream he heard a voice. That he did not reconize at the moment. This startled him and becuase the dream had come it very scary conculsion. This stratled Andol awake and he sat up very quickly and threw his arms around the nearest thing which just happened to be Uuriean. He was obvoius he was very scared becuase he did not realize at the moment what he was holding. He just knew he was not letting go. It took him a few moments to realize it was someone he had grabed onto and not somthing. He then buried his face in there chest and began to cry softly. Hexeth crooned and siad It is ok now Mine you are awake. Everything will be ok.

For a moment Uu’ian froze, to his mind Andol’s actions had been unpredictable. He might have pulled away and apologised for waking Andol had the older boy not burst into tears at that moment. He would never leave anyone to cry alone. ‘It’s alright.’ He whispered softly as if Andol were as young as Danae. ‘It was just a dream, it’s over now.’ Uu’ian continued mumbling other similar nonsense as Hexeth and Leaf also did their best to comfort their chosen.

Andol just lisinted to the soft voice for a few moments. He then through his tears siad " They took Leaf away. They took her away. They killed her." Leaf landed on Andol shoulders and licked his face to let him know she was still there. Andol the instant she did began to relax abit. Though he still held on to what he was holding onto. He looked around his bed and saw Hexeth and Leaf. He then wondered and looked at the persons face for a few moments as his eye's adjusted to the dark and then he reconigzed the voice and the face. He saw it was Uuriean. It lingered clucthing the other as his face began to turn a beat red color. He was blushing really badly. His fear forgotten in his embressment. He then let go and sat there on his bed for a second and looked at Uuriean. He could not help blushing. He then said " Sorry about that." He felt so embressed.

‘Leaf’s here.’ Uu’ian assured his friend. ‘She wouldn’t let anyone take her away from you. She’s here, they didn’t take her.’ Leaf seemed to sense what was needed and her contact with Andol seemed to reassure him enough that he relaxed his grip a bit. Uu’ian was shaken, no wonder Andol didn’t want to sleep much if that was the kind of thing he dreamed of!

Uu’ian couldn’t see Andol blush in the dark, though he guessed the other boy would be now that he was over his nightmare enough to release Uu’ian. ‘It’s alright.’ He replied softly, sitting next to Andol on the bed. ‘You don’t need to be sorry. Everyone want something to hold onto when they’re scared.’ Uu’ian looked around the dark room for a moment without really seeing it. ‘Do you want to talk about it? Sometimes it helps.’ Uu’ian didn’t know which reply would worry him most but he kept it out of his voice with an effort of will.

And'l was still blushing a whole lot as he looked at Uuriean. He knew that that the other could not see his blush. Yet he was sure that Uu'ian was smart egough to figure it out. He then said to try and make himself fell better though he figured it would problery embress Uu'ian " Well I am just gald it was you I was holding onto and not anything else." He just smiled becuase saying that made him fell alot better. And'l then nodded and siad " Yeah I do." He then sighed and siad " I started having them ever sinice my brothers firelizard was killed by those people. I was afriad that they were going to do the same to Leaf. She and Hexeth are the only things I have in this world. I don't want to lose ethier one of them." He then leaned over and rested his head on Uu'ian's shoulder. It made him feel better just being close to Uu'ian. Though sinice the other had not said if he liked him or not. And'l did not want to embress him to much.

Uu’ian felt a blush creeping up his own face for a change, though he was sure it was nothing compared to the bright red blush that And’l could produce almost every time Uu’ian was around. ‘Oh come on, if I wasn’t closer you would have got Hexeth.’ He pointed out and then held his tongue for once as And’l began explaining his dream.

Uu’ian felt a chill run down his spine, how could anyone kill a firelizard? Even if the beast was unable to flee between for some reason who would harm such a creature? Uu’ian knew he wouldn’t have the will, even in madness. ‘I’m sorry that anyone did that, they must have been insane or very cruel, or both. But you know Leaf and Hexeth aren’t all you have. What about Bamre, no one would miss how much he cares about you, and Purth likes you. So do Tombath and Steadfast, and me. We’d never let anyone hurt you, or your friends while we could stop it. And I bet there are other people who like you too.’ Uu’ian ran out of words and sighed softly, dropping his head to rest on And’l’s and wrapping an arm around the other boy to extend a little more comfort.

And'l started to blush more with Uu'ian's arm around him. His words were very comfronting to And'l. And'l hope that when there dragons were grown Uu'ian might end up his weyrmate. Though he doubted it becuase there would problery be some green or gold rider in Uu'ian's future. Though And'l knew he could always hope. And'l though had a soft smile on his face becuase he felt much better. He siad " Thank you Uu'ian. That was very sweet of you to say. You make me feel so much better when you are around." He scooted closer to Uu'ian hoping the other would not mind. " Though you are right. I do have all of you. Though I think I am too scared to go back to sleep tonight. You don't have to stay up with me if you don't want to."

‘It’s only the truth.’ Uu’ian protested. ‘You know I talk too much to lie. I am happy you feel better though.’ He didn’t object when And’l moved closer, only blinked sleepily. However And’l’s next words did not send Uu’ian scurrying back to his bed, even though he was really tired now the shock of waking up so suddenly and Steadfast scaring his half to death had worn off. ‘I’ll stay if you want.’ He yawned. ‘I’m not…not promising to stay awake though.’

And'l looked at him for a moment and said " Will this keep you awake." The combination of Uu'ian being close and being caught in the moment impaired And'l judgment for just a few moments for him to kiss Uu'ian on the cheek. Though when he thought about it he blushed really badly and siad " I am sorry I did no mean to. It is just that you were being so sweet and all. I just could not help it. Please forgive me." Though And'l's words did not mean that he had not ment what he did.

For the second time in just a few minutes Uu’ian felt himself blushing, and judging by the way his face felt like it was on fire he had be blushing as deeply as And’l ever did. Well if he always felt this embarrassed no wonder he wanted to hide all the time! But Uu’ian pulled back a bit so he could look at And’l properly.

‘Well I guess what you mean is that you didn’t mean to do that because you didn’t know how I’d react rather than you didn’t mean to because you didn’t want to.’ Uu’ian said, remembering to keep his voice down, although just how everyone else was managing to sleep through this was a mystery to him. ‘In the first case I can easily forgive you, in the second…it had better not be the second.’

And'l nodded softly and siad " I know. The second won't be until you say you like me to." And'l was gald Hexeth had fallen alseep again or the young dragon might be raditating confusion. Of course And'l always felt like this with Uui'an around that Hexeth was problery used to it. And'l just looked at Uui'an and siad " You were just being so sweet I could not help it."

[Kisha-Ra]

Uu’ian sighed, a sound partly born of regret and partly of irritation, and shook his head slightly. ‘You know for now friendship is all I can offer you, but it’s all you can accept as well.’ He said softly. ‘Our dragons are too young for us to be anything more and if I break down and admit that I like you now who knows where things’ll go. No, it’s much better that we remain friends for their sakes.’ In his tired explanation of how things stood as he saw it Uu’ian quite failed to realise exactly what he’d just said.

And'l luaghed alittle and blushed greatly when he heard what Uu'ian said. He just smiled and siad " I know that silly. I just want to be your friend until Hexeth is grown. When they are ready then we can go alittle futher. Though the fact you already admit you like me. Does not mean it is going anywhere yet." And'l hoped what he said was right. He did not want to confuse Hexeth. He knew there dragons were to young and that was ok with him. He did not mind waiting. It always made things better that way.
