Name: A'cher
Age: 15 turns
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Weyrling
Family: Mother, Sana; Father, Timoren; Younger brother, Nothen; Younger sister, Ina, deceased
Pets: A green flit, Bind. She's rather small, even for a green, and has a slim build, with light, frail bones. Her hide is a deep, ominous color, like evergreen needles in the shadows. She considers A'cher her property, and doesn't tolerate other firelizards very much. She doesn't like too much attention, either, just occasional stroking and food when she's hungry, which is pretty much always.
Physical Appearance:
--->A'cher has a messenger's build: from his birth long-legged and with seemingly endless endurance. His skin follows that of his family, pale enough to make ice seem royally blue, or so his friends joke. He has rather lively eyes with a hazel hue that seem to miss nothing, and muddy, broodingly red hair with a texture reminiscent of wheat stalks that grows thickly and tangles hopelessly. His hands are calloused from manual labor, as are his feet from years of barefooted travel. His pace is often quick, made of long and purposeful strides, and his stance is a firm one, feet braced a length apart as if preparing for the ground beneath him to quake, or readying himself for a blow.
Personality:
--->A'cher is a pacifist, always coming in to stop a fight. He can be rather distant, and is just as comfortable standing alone in a group deep in introspection as he is conversing. However, he is by no means cold or uncaring. He finds it hard to truly make friends, but once he does, he puts his whole faith in one. A'cher will drop anything to help someone in need, often neglecting his own needs and wants. He rarely confides in anyone, even those he trusts.
In addition, A'cher's fairly care-free. He doesn't worry very often, and because of that is good at comforting others. However, he has little faith in himself, and never seems to think highly of anything he says or does, and assumes others feel the same. Thus, he often feels awkward approaching others or entering a conversation.
History:
--->Of the seas by blood, Andicher has known little else. From a young age, he learned to cast a rod and set out nets, as well as to man a rowboat, not unlike other children of his birth. He took little interest in herbs and plants, as was expected of him. Though he surpassed his peers in school, Andicher never felt successful. His two siblings were bright and close enough in age-with only a year between each of them-that they all ended up with the same lessons, time and time again. Sana and Timoren overlooked his accomplishments and praised Nothen and Ina, neither of which seemed fit for the path they had been raised to take. Nothen was too frail for the dangers of the open ocean, and Ina could never leave her mother's care and be an apprentice Weaver for her lung troubles. Eventually, Andicher sought the path his kin could not and took to the seas.
By the time the men of the hold felt him old enough to join them on the large vessels, he had lost much of the pleasure in this path of life, too. Daily fishing trips became a chore, and Andicher found release in Ina, whose condition was steadily growing worse. In the last throes of winter, while he was braving a storm with the fishers, she died. After that, Andicher withdrew from many of the friends he had, finding solace more within himself than with people who didn't understand how he felt. When word spread around that a queen was clutching, and that all who wished to be candidates would be accepted, he said his goodbyes to dissapointed parents and went with high hopes of a new life. He arrived safely at the Weyr, stood at the hatching of Malaracyth's clutch, and impressed the brown Halsningath.
Dragon Name: Halsningath
Dragon Color: Brown
Dragon Age: Hatchling
Appearance: A light tan brown, that swirls darker along the wingspines and along his back in a pattern almost like that of a dun horse. He is a larger brown, and stocky, rather than long, with a deep chest...in flight, he will have great endurance, almost as much as some bronzes. He also has a particularly narrow and angular head.
Personality: He is a very, very confident dragon. He does not have the ego of a bronze, but there are no problems with his self esteem. He always tries to cheer up and support everyone around him, insisting that his rider is the very best, but extending this to everyone he deals with. He can't stand to see anyone depressed or down and is rather more willing to deal with others than would be normal for a brown.
