This years gather was held at the harbor, a beautiful place for a gather. Kelyna smiled at the decorations painstakingly put up. The harbor waters looked beautiful with the lights reflecting onto their waters. Kelyna was happy everything had gone according to plan. Se was also happy that the weyr cooks had outdone themselves. The ebony had hatched a good clutch, making Malaracyth proud of her daughter. Kelyna was glad for Malaracyth's support that was always there.
Malaracyth was also watching, to make sure no dragon would ruin the gather by flying during it.
Hellia hated guarding parties, but, that was in her job description, and so she and Hellisk stood watch, though Hellisk was trying to convince her to go party and to leave him to watch. Maybe, maybe she would join the party and leave Hellisk and his better eyes to guard.
Levra and Zoeth slipped right down to the tables, waiting for others to arrive. D'ket would love the party she thought.

C'lyn wandered over to his mate. "The dragon population is increasing nicely." He had thought of going to the creche and getting Karlyn, but she was, as yet, too young to enjoy bubbly pies and, thus, too young to really enjoy a Gather. Next year, he thought. "And something smells incredibly good."
A few steps behind him was Tirlynna, who was keeping one eye on her dragon. Reinth had been acting odd since her flight, sort of...secretive. Maybe she was jealous of the ebony and those eggs. "The new color M'kar Impressed to is very pretty."
Reinth, of course, was no longer unique. Soon, they'd have enough rainbows to fill a wing!
J'tor, for his part, was raiding the food as only a male in his teens could, piling his plate with what looked like enough to feed a flight...including the dragons. He hadn't yet spoken to anyone.
Aphrodie, was making a VTOL-line for the Harpers. She wanted to find out if they knew...and would play, maybe for a small bribe...one of her favorite songs.
Reinth, Kilith and Bonjouth were all curled in various comfortable places at the edge of the grounds. Geisteth was with some of the other older weyrlings, avoiding the adults for now.

Bamre arrived alittle late as Purth touched down next to Renith. He was followed as usal by a cloud of firelizards. Purth curled up beside the rainbow. The white knew that his bonded did not need him to go with like he used to. Bamre was not as neverous about everything. Bamre went to find Tirlynna, with his entire fair in tow. He approched her and her brother and said " Hello how are you two doing."
And'l though was doing the exact oppiste thing. Hexeth was curled up over next Geisteth. He was using his wing to hide And'l form view. And'l had shown up earily and had already got his food and was sitting next to his dragon eating it. Hexeth though was looking around neverously. He did not like this many people being near And'l. That was why he was keeping his rider close.

C'lyn smiled at Bamre. "We're doing very well indeed," the bronzerider said, glancing at the spread. "The cooks really have outdone themselves this time."
For her part, Tirlynna offered Bamre a hug. She wanted to make it clear to him that Reinth's flight made no difference to their relationship. None. Although she did wish Reinth had chosen a mate with a female rider, just in case.
Then again, with all the betweening she did on such a fast, agile dragon, she might never have a child. It was part of the choice.
Geisteth just warbled to her shy brother. The blue was...well...the way he was. At least he would hang out with her.

Bamre nodded in agreement and siad " Yes I agree. I know my brother arrived here early to enjoy the food. Though I think that is the only thing he really enjoys about a gather." He montioned in the direction of Hexeth and And'l the pair was hiding over next to Geisteth. Bamre hugged Tirlynna back and gave her a quick kiss to the lips to show that he understood. He had know form the beganning that Renith would fly. He had appected that. He loved Tirlynna and trusted her. So he never worried about.
And'l was able to concive Hexeth to let him go talk to his brother. Though the blue dragon followed his bonded the best he could without knocking anything over. And'l just sighed and was soon at his brother's side and just looked at them curiously for a moment before a very very soft " Hi." Escaped form his lips.

Fantasmath touched down neatly among the other weyrling dragons present, compared to all the other dragons around, especially the new colours, Fantasmath looked very ordinary indeed but that was something Keshia loved about him. In her eyes he was a perfect blue dragon, not as flashy or fast growing as the new colours perhaps but exactly right for her. ‘You flew wonderfully love.’ The girl told her dragon as she slid off. Fantasmath snorted and flicked his wings back as he settled on the ground. You always say that, since we first glided. The blue pointed out quite accurately. Keshia smiled and hugged her dragon’s neck. ‘Well that’s because you’re always wonderful Fantasmath.’ She said.
Go and enjoy the gather. You’ve spoken of nothing but music and pies all day. These seem to greatly concern most riders today. The dragon pushed his bonded away with his muzzle, Keshia nodded and wandered off into the crowd, trying to look everywhere at once.
Tombath looked around for Hexeth as soon as Uu’ian was on the ground and the bronze could crane his neck around properly. The bronze sighed on seeing his clutchbrother wandering around after his rider like a canine. Hexeth, do you not think you are getting too big for that now? Don’t tread on anyone. The bronze half scolded as he made himself comfortable.
Uu’ian meanwhile had joined J’tor at the tables, not for any social reason though he did offer a smile and a wave, but for the food. Uu’ian had been looking forward to the gather all day for this very reason and wasn’t hesitant about loading a plate with enough to feed himself, and apparently Tombath as well.
Jahzask moved purposefully around the edges of the gather, her mate was here somewhere and he wasn’t allowed to just forget her now. She had chosen him because he wouldn’t be too scared to help her look after a clutch, not like that wild bronze, therefore Hellisk needed to be reminded of his mate and the clutch she would soon have.
Jahzara followed her wher for no real reason, Jeri had decided that she would watch the herds tonight with Ink and the flitters so that Jahzara and her wher could attend the Turnover gather but Jahzara found that she had little in common with most people here. Jahzask was purposeful enough that Jahzara just fell in with the gold. Oddly enogh it seemed that since Jahzask’s Run their bond had been stronger. ‘Zara no longer had to fumble for the meanings of Jahzask’s sounds or images, they were clear now. What did it mean?

Hexeth apon hearing Tombath's voice turned in the bronze's direction. His eye's light up and he turned around looked for Uu'ian. Almost knocking things over in the process. When he saw the bronze weyrling he turned around and half picked And'l up by the back of his shirt which luckly did not rip. And'l looked up at his dragon and siad " Hey what's the big idea. I am safe with my brother." Hexeth said to And'l quite plainly I think you will be safer with your mate. And'l blushed severily. He really wished Hexeth would stop refering to Uu'ian in those terms, but that was the way Hexeth was. He carried him over to were Uu'ian was and dropped him on the ground next to where Uu'ian was sitting.
Leaf was sqwuaking at the blue the entire time. When though he put And'l down she stopped and landed beside her pet. The blue then walked toward toward Tombath and curled up next to the bronze hoping he would not have to ask like he usally did. This was a gather and with this many people around it was obvious that Hexeth wanted to hide. And'l for his part got up off the ground and brushed himself off. He then crouched up in the chair next to Uu'ian and looked at him with his usal blush and said " Hello Uu'ian." And'l was still thinking about his and Uu'ian's coversation they had a while ago.

Tirlynna hugged Bamre back and whispered 'Thank you' to him.
She glanced around. In a more normal tone of voice, "We should dance, white rider. Or are you going to try to tell me you have two left feet? It seemed highly unlikely to her that he would have such a disability.
Leaving them to it, C'lyn wandered over to the food tables, piling his plate so high one would have thought he was feeding an entire wing of dragons.

Bamre was happy. Gald that he had made her so. Though this time when she offered to dance Bamre was ready. Suprisly it had been his brother who had taught him. The shy weyrling knew how to dance. Though he normally never used the skill. Bamre said " Don't worry. I think I got those fixed sinice the last time we danced." Bamre even sounded abit more confident in his ability to dance this time. Tirlynna would not need to lead like she had done last time. Though she could if she wanted to. Purth who was sitting next to the rainbow turned to her and said So Renith how are you today? He was checking on her due to the fact that she seemed alittle moody lately.

OOC: Yama, dearest. It's ReInth, not RenIth Tirlynna laughed a bit. "I'd still want to dance with you, even if you did have two left feet. I like to think I'm quick enough not to get stepped on." Dawn chose that moment to appear from between. The queen circled her human once then flitted over to the food tables, where she regarded C'lyn pleadingly. All she got from him, of course, was an eyeroll...

Holath burst out of between above the Hold, circling above as he looked for a spot to land. Seeing the White beside his mate, he snarled.
Holath, don't be irrational. Bamre is Tirlynna's weyrmate, not me, and you know Purth is only interested in her as a friend, M'lir told his dragon gently. Holath wanted to be protective of Reinth, but that was difficult for him when Purth was always around. The rider half of the pair didn't have things any easier. The morning of the Flight, he had run out of the weyr before Tirlynna woke, and he had been politely avoiding her since then. He didn't want Bamre to get the wrong idea.
Holath just snorted and dropped his rider off, then fly up to land on Reinth's other side. Greetings, dear Reinth. How are you on this lovely Gather day? he asked gallantly, nuzzling the Rainbow and ignoring her White friend for now. Holath had noticed Reinth's recent grumpiness, and hoped a Gather would cheer her up.
M'lir rolled his eyes and tuned out his dragon. He wandered through the Gather, wondering where to start.
***
Grabeth flew clumsily but efficiently to a landing spot, letting her rider off on the ground before heaving herself back into the air. K'vet grinned, watching the green try her best at flying. She was still learning, but she improved every day. By the time she graduated, she would be as graceful as any green, if she chose to stop being so lazy and actually exercise that grace.
K'vet walked into the crowd, not sure what to see first. He wanted to stop by the stalls, definitely get some bubbly pies, maybe dancing later. Seeing Keshia, he sidled up to his fellow weyrling. "Hi, Keshia. Want to walk together?" he asked her.

Bamre luaghed and said " Yes that is quite true. You are quick." The white rider felt he said that in a silly manner. He still was not good with compliments. Though he looked around and when he saw where Hexeth had dragged his brother off to it did not suprise him. He then turned back to Tirlynna and took her hand and said " Though I think you will find I am a much better dancer than before. Shall we."
Purth looked up at the bronze as landed on the other side of Reinth. Purth was the flip side of the coin the way the bronze was about it. He did not care. Becuase the white never though of mating he never got jelous. Though the thing was he thought it was silly that his clucthbrother was jealous. The was aslo not afraid to tell the bronze that he was acting silly. It was not like he was going to steal Reinth away. Purth looked at the bronze and said Hello Holath. Please don't start acting like a weyrling today. Ok. So anyway how are you doing today? Though the white was smaller he was not afraid of the bronze. Though he was carefull for Bamre's sake. The white felt he needed to protect Reinth aslo. So therefore he stayed around her. Though his reason was differnt.

Tombath sighed and closed his first set of eyelids in exasperation as Hexeth barely missed a few things in his looking around, then half pushed half carried his rider over to Uu’ian. Really it was good thing that people were naturally inclined to give way to a dragon or Hexeth might have stepped on someone.
Well, if nothing else they will have to talk to each other now. Tombath commented as Hexeth came to curl up next to him, the bronze suspected that His was sometimes avoiding Hexeth’s, which confused him as Uu’ian clearly liked And’l. Oh look at that! I hope I never that silly over a female. Tombath commented on Holath’s behaviour as he shifted to conceal more of Hexeth and spread a wing over the blue. Purth isn’t even interested in mating. Do we really want our riders to become mates if they’re going to act like that? Or will it be different if two males are mates?
Blissfully unaware of what his dragon was talking about Uu’ian looked at And’l. ‘Hi, isn’t this great? You should get yourself some food. Why did Hexeth drag you over here?’ In his excitement over the gather Uu’ian spoke so fast his words almost ran into one another.
Keshia wandered with no real aim in mind, seeing a few harpers scattered through the crowd reminded her that there might be new songs tonight, Fantasmath would want to hear any there were for sure, he just loved songs and stories.
Keshia jumped when K’vet appeared from somewhere and spoke to her but she greeted him with a smile anyway. ‘Hello K’vet, have you ever onsidered making a little more noise when you walk?’ Keshia seemed to be getting less shy since she Impressed Fantasmath. ‘I wouldn’t mind some company, provided you don’t mind stopping by the bakers stall first.’
