Black Obsidian Weyr ~ New Plot!

Back before Gold Cometh ruled Hadi Weyr and Brown Morth ruled Black Obsidian Weyr, another Gold flew the skies, one heard little of, and one that was pushed out of sight out of mind. Lucielle, or Luci, of Gold Wrath. She was beautiful, her hide burned like the sun, with wisps of dark plum and sea green spindles streaking through her body, and was from Black Obsidian's Gold Zenith's clutch. Zenith was the reigining Queen of Black Obsidian Weyr, thus when Gold Wrath and Luci entered their Weyrling Lessons, it was she and Hers that taught them what was to be expected of them as the future of Black Obsidian Weyr.

Gold Wrath grew, and Luci grew, and within both, the lust for power and blood grew. Neither showed the maliace toward the mother that born her, or the people that surrounded them, but within, both females simply wanted one thing; utter control of Black Obsidian Weyr. That was their main goal, the goal in which started with a simple understanding that both weyrling and dragonet wanted the same thing.

As Gold Wrath grew, she and Zenith constantly butted heads, their bugles of rage were heard throughout Black Obsidian Weyr, many turning a deaf ear to the two, while some spoke out against the two Queens. Wrath grew quickly, Luci learned what things were to be expected of her as a Weyrwoman, but Zenith's Rider wasn't going anywhere, Zenith was healthy, in the prime of her life, and it looked like Wrath wasn't going to get her chance to ever become Senior Queen of Black Obsidian Weyr.

When the time finally came, and it seemed Wrath was going to Rise early after graduating from Weyrling Lessons, Zenith became worried. All male dragons, including Zenith's Bronze Oralenth, tried to take to the skies. Zenith was forced to do something she had never done before, she grounded ever Fight-ready male dragon, including Oralenth, and took to the skies after Wrath.

The battle between Gold Wrath and Gold Zenith didn't last long, and in the end, Zenith landed on tallest perch of Black Obsidian Weyr and bugled in her triumph, allowing all the dragons to finally rise from the ground. Wrath, and her Rider Luci, took to the skies and went between, many thinking that the Gold had been seriously wounded, and her Rider went into the darkness with her. When Zenith finally returned to the ground, after making sure that Wrath was gone, her Rider rushed to her side, fearful of the damage the younger Gold had done. While laying on the hot Hatching sands, Zenith let out a terrible secret that caused the whole Weyr to stand in shock. She had Risen several fortnights beforehand, and of course Oralenth had Caught her, but this clutch would be her last.

With Wrath gone, Zenith laid her clutch, but never was able to see the Gold that hatched, as shortly before Gold Cometh's hatching, the old Gold went between. Also from Zenith's last clutch came Brown Morth. With the death of their oldest Gold, many thought Black Obsidian Weyr cursed, thus the Great Migration to Hadi Weyr began, and the great doors to Black Obsidian Weyr were closed. All dragons moved to Hadi Weyr, at least until Brown Morth and Da'im returned to Black Obsidian, intent on returning their home Weyr to it's former glory.

Luci and Gold Wrath disappeared, thought to have gone between, thus completely forgotten about. As time went by, Brown Morth Flew Gold Cometh. Their clutch hatched, bring about Gold Horibath and Onyx Svarth. When the time came, the Onyx Flew his Gold clutch-sister, and a new clutch was lain on the sands, with still no sight of Gold Wrath. Of course, by this time, the interesting Gold had been completely forgotten, by all but Da'im and his Brown. A new Gold lay on the sands, hatching, but soon disappearing completely also having thought to have gone between, while the new Violet Lunith grew into a fine young dragon.

When the time came for Lunith to Rise, it was Bronze Slith who caught and Flew her, but when her eggs were lain, no Gold was lain, but a young Violet Impressed. With no Gold to speak of, Black Obsidian Weyr seemed to forget what it was like to have a Goldrider as their Senior Weyrwoman, many agreeing that Akri, with her Violet Lunith, did a wonderful job at running the Weyr, of course, with the help of her weyrmate Z'dyn and his Bronze Slith.

Gold Horibath's and Onyx Svarth's clutch grew quickly, passing their lessons and becoming full fledge dragons, young dragons, but dragons none the less. And now it is Violet Lunith's and Bronze Slith's clutches turn to shine, as it will soon be their day to stand before the Weyr and all it's folk and graduate to full fledge dragons, their weyrlings becoming full fledge Riders.

With so many young dragons, and so few older ones, the Black Obsidian Weyr prays constantly to Faranth that nothing bad happens. What answers the Weyr's prayers is something that no one ever expected to happen.

On the horizon, shortly before dusk, a dragon appears. She is alone, and as she nears, all see that she is a Gold, though oddly colored. There is no bugle of greeting from her, but the Gold lands, and her Rider dismounts, strolling about the Weyr as if it was hers and hers alone. Many dragons are confused as to why there is a strange Gold among them and what will happen when Akri and Lunith hears about the Gold. Will Black Obsidian Weyr be the same, or will trouble follow behind this new Gold?

Gold Wrath, with her Rider Luci, have arrived, and Black Obsidian Weyr may not be ready for the life changing events that may follow her arrival. No one may be ready for this power-lusting dragon/rider pair.
