Name: M'kar
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual
Rank: Weyrling
Family: Terkar (father, estranged). Marana, mother.
Pets:
Green firelizard Flirt
Flit Personality- This little green is very flirtatous and is alway flirting with the male fire lizards. Yet she is also always on the look out to find her pet a mate because she believes that her pet needs one.
Flit Appearance- She is a very small green with a dark green color all over and a little bit of light green on the very tip of her tail.
Color=339900
Physical Appearance:
Marakar is a large young man. He has sandy blonde hair and sapphire blue eyes. Standing over six feet tall, he is well built and carries a lot of muscle. There is, in act, nothing effeminate about him. His voice is deep and rich, and when he raises it even a little, he can always be heard. Like many very big men, he tends to move slowly and a little carefully.
His dress is practical, but he can 'clean up good' when he needs to. He prefers earth tones.
Personality:
Marakar is quiet. Not shy, simply a man who feels no need to fill the empty space with unnecessary conversation. He is soft spoken, and almost never raises his voice, and he has an incredibly long fuse. All of this tends to make him easy to overlook despite his size, and some make the judgment, utterly incorrect, that he is stupid.
Stupid, he most certainly is not...although he is no sparkling intellect, he possesses a solid, earthly intelligence that might almost cross the line into wisdom. A loyal follower, once his respect is earned it is kept unless the person concerned makes the most grievous of errors.
A hopeless romantic, Marakar seeks true love...which is, perhaps, the source of all of his problems, given his true love is hardly likely to be a woman. Anyone who ends up in a relationship with him, though, will gain quiet devotion, utter fidelity and gestures such as gifts and dinners. Chances are somebody will break his heart...again. Yet, no matter how many times that happens, he does not give up.
History:
Marakar was the son of a smith...and it showed. He was always a large child, promising to grow into a large man. His mother being a cook probably helped with that. She always saved the best treats for her husband and her son.
The couple were devoted to one another and to their only child, perhaps in no small measure because Marana had been advised to have no more children. It was as happy a family as one could ask for. For a time.
Although no intellectual, Marakar seemed the mirror image of his father. He looked like him, sounded like him and followed him into the forge and the heat. Terkar was extremely proud of his son. He was growing into a real man...
When Marakar turned down the suit of a cotholders' daughter when he was fifteen, Terkar shrugged. He himself had taken some time to find a wife.
Then it all fell apart. Terkar found Marakar in flagrant delictum...with another boy.
His son was a man, not a sissy or a male greenrider! That liking other men did not make him either of those things automatically did not occur to him. The fight that followed was not pretty. Terkar attempted to take a belt to his son, but the boy was now as big as he was. Both had a fair set of bruises before Marana walked in on the situation and separated them with her sharp voice.
It was over, though. Marakar packed his bags the next day and left to travel Pern. He was almost ready to walk the tables, but he needed somebody else to finish his training.
Just as he found somebody, he bumped into the dragonrider. Marakar was Searched and left standing.
Then he stood again for Renth's clutch, and Impressed the first dragon to hatch, the fire colored Fioreth.
(If dragonrider)
Egg: Candy Land- This tiny egg is a vibrant shade of pink with stripes of white all over it. It looks just like a candy cane!
Rider: M'kar
Dragon Name: Fioreth
Came from: Fiore is flower in Italian
Color: Multi-color: This dragon looks as if he is a mixture of all the colors between red and yellow on the color wheel. His color pattern seems to move and change, so you can never quite tell what color is where, and where red and yellow are because they are so interspersed with the oranges, giving him almost a flaming look to his hide. In truth, his colors are always in the same place, it is just the optical illusion of so many swirling colors that the colors seem to move. He is the size of a small green.
Personality: He is a calm and steady dragon, always able to be leaned upon and depended upon. He always takes forever to evaluate a situation and decide if he should intervene or not, often deciding when the situation (argument, fight, whatever) is already over. He seems worldly wise already, except when he gets to frolic in the water. He loves the water and water games. And his take on flaming, "You want me to get near fame!!! Flame could burn me, kill me, and you what me near that stuff! I think not." That is how he has evaluated the situation of having to flame. He sees himself as smart for this (being afraid of fire) and his rider will have a hard time convincing old Mr. Dependable otherwise. Yes, sadly enough, this flame looking dragon has a pyrophobia, though he claims it as being "smart".
Color Code: Any color between red and orange on the color wheel...
