Kelyna sighed as she waited for the weyrlings to come. She had decided to give a class about the politics of the weyr and the world to the higher ranking weyrlings in case the High Council found out and things went bad. She didn't want these riders not to know about what they were getting into. She would teach the lower rankers later, but right now this needed teaching. She had also decided to include the new colors because who knew what the High Council felt about them. It was better for those that would be dealing with politics to know them from early on. She would let F'mar teach the lower ranked colors. She kind of hoped C'lyn might come and talk about the red star and thread, but she couldn't promise anything.

Bamre walked in with Purth at his heels and Diamond around his neck becuase he could not get her to get off for any reason. He walked in knowing this was the stuff he had to know to protect the others. To protect Purth. He knew outside force were aginist his dragon and he was not about to let them touch him. He walked in and saw that Kelyna was already there waiting for them. He then walked in and found him a good spot were Purth could be close and he would be comfortable.

C'lyn did indeed show, but he came in talking quietly with his sister, her dragon padding just behind. C'lyn's blue firelizard was on his shoulder. The two separated after a moment, C'lyn walking over next to his mate.
Tirlynna didn't feel she should be included here. Reinth would fly with the greens, surely? Besides, that was where she felt most comfortable. Bamre was here too...well.
The last whiterider, she suddenly recalled, had been a Lord Holder.

"Hello everyone. I am quite sure you know why we are here. I wish that it was not so, but we are breaking so council rules by having a weyr and believing that thread will come back. Also, I included the new colors because the council might persecute you because you are different, we don't know what they will do. The rest of you are here to understand more about what is going on. I don't want anyone of you unsure of things if the council decides that things are a little bit fishy around here. Can anyone tell me a little bit about the political situation in Pern right now?" Kelyna asked, unconsciously reaching for C'lyn's hand while speaking.
(OOC:Pretend you are already here if you haven't posted arrival)

Tirlynna frowned. "I don't get why what we're doing here hurts the council." She glanced at her brother for a moment, then the young rainbowrider just looked down. It didn't, and it shouldn't.
C'lyn took Kelyna's hand, but just smiled at her reassuringly.

Bamre just sat there next Purth and answered his own answer to Tirlynna's question he siad " Becuase they are old fashion and prejudice. Plus they don't like us disobaying them. They aslo don't have the foresight to see what is about to hit them in the face and they are mad becuase we preach the oppistiae of there message that Thread will not come back."

E'dan stroked Zuiveth, who was already huge compared to the normal colors. It was wierd how fast the ebony, the rainbow, and his silver were growing. Zuiveth was close to flying without him, if he couldn't do so already, and boy did he have a huge amount of hide to clean and oil.
Do you not love me because I am so big? Would you rather I was a blue or a green?
"No, Zuiveth, of course not, I'll love you forever, no matter how big you get. I'm just surprised, that's all." He had spoken aloud without regard for the class, his teachers, or even his classmates. All that he had taken into account was the sorrow and hurt he had felt from Zuiveth, who should never feel that way, least of all from his rider in whom the dragon had placed so much trust.

C'lyn glanced at the silver rider with wry amusement. All weyrlings forgot to speak quietly to start with. Eventually, they got their minds around things.
He was not too worried about the accelerated growth of the new colors...except maybe the ebony. Actually, he was worried about the ebony plain and simple.
He did not trust Maylina, and that dragon acted like a queen...although still deferring to Malaracyth. He could hope that remained. The silver was likely to be as big as a bronze, too. Whilst the rainbow...maturing as fast as the others, but tiny.
How could he fit -her- into the Weyr hierarchy. Especially as her rider was, after all, his sister.
Their eyes met for a moment. He had wanted to see Tirlynna walk off the Sands with a gold. But Fate had stepped in...

Getrara was annoyed. A weyrling lesson for strange colors and they were missing it! "Come on Puroth! WAKE UP!!! PLEASE. We are missing a weyrling lesson!"
Than with a very sleepy mindvoice and not even opening her eyes Puroth respondedMine, what have I told you, you must think and do things for yourself. You have me and thats all you need. You don't need anything else. You let other people take advantage of you! That doesn't mean we have to miss lessons! And with that, Getrara, who was fully reaady lhaved luggged Puroth onto her feet and marched them to the place where the lessons were going on. Upon entering and noticing the lesson going on, Getrara almost cried. We were late! It's okay mine! Just tell them we slept in. Getrara looked up slightly, her hand on Puroth and said, "I am sorry for being late, Puroth here slept in and I couldn't wake her up." With a mental sigh Puroth said, That is not quite what I meant, but it will do.

Maylina sat with Reinth, near E'dan and Zuiveth. With the two new colors in the room, things were a little cramped, but she wanted her dragon with her. She was tired and it showed in her face as well as her mannerisms, especially because she hadn't even spoken up yet. Caring for such a fast growing dragon was hard work. On the bright side, though, she'd be done with weyrling training early. It was worth it.
She languidly raised her hand, not waiting for acknowledgment before speaking. "What I want to know is, why don't we do something about the Council. We shouldn't have to live in secret. We should prove to them that Allride deserves to stand," she said, a faint, devious smile across her features.
***
M'lir shivered slightly, disconcerted by all of this talk about the council. He reached out for Holath, touching the bronze's snout lightly and trying to reassure himself. Do not worry, mine. The Council cannot hurt us,[/color] Holath said reassuringly. M'lir shook his head. He wasn't so sure about that. He listened to Bamre's explanation about why the Council disliked them, but he still didn't get it. He wished Allride could live in peace.

Bamre just laughed at Maylina statement and as he had done before he said his thoughts. Though with a little more harshnesss this time because of his dislike for Maylina he said " Maylina that is the most dimglow statement I have ever heard on that subject. There arent egough of us here to deal with the Council in the way I can tell you are thinking of doing." Purth just shook his head while looking at Bamre and made a mental sigh.

Kelyna was tired of the bickering between Maylina and Bramre. Shhe had hoped that everyone would get along, but it didn't seem like that would be the case. For a second, she drummed her fingers on the table with impatience and then with a glare at Bamre she spoke up and said, "Maylina has a point, Why don't we attack the High Council? The reason is that that would be a way to start a civil war. The High Council doesn't believe in that thread will ever fall again. What we plan is to grow strong in secret, and then be the "Savers of Pern" Once thread begans to fall. Another reason to fear te High Council is that a bunch of them are old and stiff, not liking to give in to new ways. They were actually not very happy when I impressed because one of the gold riders on the High Council had a daughter that they wanted to impress gold. I impressed gold and she impressed green and was happy that she could go her own way and she loved her dragon. They didn't like me from the start because of that. I asked for them to allow people to do there own thing, but they were stiff and didn't like that. Yes Bamre, you are pretty much correct." Kelyna felt sad about the whole situation, she really didn't like it. Malaracyth then said to her, Mine, don't feel bad, there is nothing you could have done better.

Bamre smiled and thought to himself Of course I was right. He just sat there and looked at Kelyna and wondered would they be able to gather egough dragons in time to be the savers of Pern. He highly doubted it. Just like he doubted everything else. Yet the only thing that he was worried about really was making sure that Purth was protected form the High Council and all of thier evil plans and whatever they were think up right now he knew that he would have to be three steps ahead of them to make sure that nothing touched his dear Purth. Purth after hearing this just gave a mental sigh.
