Aphrodie nodded. "And I bet Purth can turn on his own tail. Ours are going to be bigger."
But, she decided, the perfect size. Everyone was always happy with his or her dragon. Maybe part of it was the dragon's own influence, but...she had sort of wanted a copper or sapphire anyway. Maybe Geisteth had taken that into account.

Bamre just smiled and said " Well maybe not on his tail. Though he does turne very well." Purth just nugded Bamre and siad Mine you need to learn to brag abit more. And'l just luaghed and said " Yeah I it will be nice when they are larger. Though of course then they won't be able to do the things they do now becuase they will be too big."

Aphrodie nodded. "Yeah, we should definitely appreciate their babyhood." She smiled at both brothers.
Then she glanced at Geisteth. "Even if it is a lot of work." But they'd be kept busy as riders, one way or another. Even if Thread did not return, they would be...occupied. Pern would always need dragons.

Andol nodded and said " Yes that is definelty ture. We will need dragons. I mean they are useful for many things. Plus they make good friends for those who need them." Andol could have gone on and on though eh chose not to and did not say anything else about it.

For the ancient menace to darken Pern's skies again...but so far it had not, the red star had... "You know. I think this Weyr is missing something..."
Something they couldn't do until a pass started, if she recalled right.

Bamre nodded and siad " Yeah I would not mind doing somthing else ethier if thread does not come back. Though I hope it does not also." He then looked at her curoiusly and asked " What is it the Weyr is missing. Besides more dragonriders." Bamre was not excatlly sure himself.

She sighed. "And if the Red Star's moved, sending a watchrider to one of the old Weyrs won't work either." Which was presumably why the leadership hadn't done that...
