Lysita dumped her sack on the floor and sat down on a bed. She looked round the room, then out the door of the room. It was getting late and she was getting tired yet she knew she wouldn't sleep if she went to bed now. Instead she open the sack and got out her favourite book, it was one she had been given a few turns back. She laid back on the bed and opened the book to her favourite page, it showed a picture of firelizards. She smiled as she studied the picture, something she'd done numerous times.

As if conjured by magic as Lysita studied the picture of firelizards, a real one suddenly popped out of thin air above her head. The dark green firelizard chirped, her eyes whirling curiously as she looked down at the new girl. She sent a picture to her owner, accompanied by a curious feeling.
A few moments later, a tall, dark haired man appeared in the doorway, a brown flitt perched on his shoulder. "Hi there. I heard there was a new candidate, I wanted to stop by. I'm Candidate Master F'mar."

Lysita was too engrossed in studying the picture to notice the firelizards entrance at first, that was until it chirped. Startled, she almost dropped the book but managed to keep hold of it and hugged it to her chest. "Hi there little one. Where is your owner?" She spoke to the flit in a soft voice, yet it had no need to answer as a man had appeared in the doorway. "Oh, hi. Yes, a new candidate, but I have been at the weyr for some time. I came with my parents when the weyr had a need for a healer." She explained, even as she realized that the green flit must belong to him. She stood up from the bed, putting the book down on the night stand before holding out her hand. "I am Lysita. Your fire lizards are beautiful, what are their names?" She asked curiously after introducing herself.

Lamia butted her head against Lysita's hand, chirping. F'mar chuckled. "She always wants attention," he told Lysita. "Her name is Lamia, and the shy brown on my shoulder is Mosaic." He gave Mosaic a pat. The brown was watching Lysita and his sister curiously, but he didn't want to leave his owner yet. "So, where were you from before coming to the Weyr with your family?" F'mar asked.

Lysita giggled as the green flit headbutted her hand and obliged her with a scratch on her eyeridges. "Those are nice names. Oh, we were at Igen. A beautiful place, but here is beautiful too." She answered, still scratching the green flit's eyeridges then let out a small sigh. "I always thought it would be nice to have a fire lizard or two. If I was to have one, it would need to wait until I either impress and the dragon is old enough to not be scared between. Or If I do not manage to impress then wait until the fire lizard was old enough to not go between for lack of attention." She wondered if she would try and impress a fire lizard if she didn't impress this time round.
