And'l nodded his head in realization as he said " Yes I had not thought about that before. Though Wher's seem to mostly be night creatures so if they watned to kill me they would fail quite miserably, being the fact that me and Hexeth are nocturnal oursleves most of the time. Plus I don't think you will need to worry about your sister, and me about my bother, becuase with two dragons and 11 firelizards in thier weyr. I don't blieve anyone could hurt those two. At least without very very careful planning, becuase my brother and your sister are hard to fool." He seemed to smile as he said these things becuase he was attempting to lighten the mood somewhat and to look on the bright side of the things that they had aginst the coniculs plan, and one in his opintion was alot of flits and people who could train them well. Plus the fact that they had information the conciul did not know they had.

C'lyn nodded. "I will make sure Kelyna is warned of the po..." He tailed off. "Of course, there's another tactic they could try." He shook his head, not voicing whatever concern had come into his mind.
"Firelizards are probably our best defense. They're everywhere, and the queens and Purth can grill them randomly, so if they see anything..."

And'l looked at C'lyn for a moment with his eyebrow raised and asked " C'lyn if you have any idea's of what they might do, it would be best to say so. Becuase then I can tell my brother and then Purth can asked the firelizards if they have seen anything like that happening. Don't wave it off just becuase it seems unlikly, becuase it seems that the things that people wave off are the things that happen. Such as the birth of Purth, the new color dragons and the fact thread is coming back. The conicul is not going to be intent on just spying on us forever. They may be for the time, but there is a chance they could try somthing in the future." He looked at the man intentaly and asked again " So what was it you were thinking?"

C'lyn nodded. "I need to think about it. For right now, maybe we can just have them watch for people sneaking around...and if it's just candidates trysting, then, well..."
Price paid. Besides, they really shouldn't anyway. They would regret it when one Impressed and the other didn't. He'd seen that before...

And'l nodded his head as he thought for a moment, it seemed to him that there was not really really much they could do angist the high council's plan expect to be very weary and make sure that no one got hurt other than that, it really would not matter. He looked at C'lyn and said " I will tell Purth to ask them to do that. Plus if you think about it, there are quit a few riders who have firelizards as pet's in this weyr so it is very likely that even one of the spies own firelizards could tell Purth if there human was sneaking around. That might help us indenfty a few of them." It was a long shot, but they had to try everything they could. Plus know one would know what they were doing because Purth always talked to the flits so he would never seemed suspicious doing so.

C'lyn nodded. "Maybe. It depends on their willpower and how loyal the firelizard is. I mean, I doubt even Purth could get Dawn to betray Tirlynna."
Like, say, when Tirlynna surprised her weyrmate with cakes. Of course, the rainbows were now quite a bit more important. He idly wondered what would happen if Reinth was flown by another rainbow...would that result in more new colors? What was in the single egg Reinth guarded so diligently?
He had his suspicions, but did not voice them.

And'l nodded his head in agreement and siad " Yes that is ture, but that does not mean we should not try it. Becuase there might be some that's willpower is not strong egough or any other factor that would come into play. It is best we use any and all reasourses availabe to us to take care of this problem. With the exapection of outright war. Which is and never will be neccersy, plus will always be unwanted. I think though that just keeping the firelizards on high aleart should be egough. You have to remember Purth is pretty friendly with most of the wild one's too. So that should help even more."

C'lyn nodded. "I sometimes think Purth gets on better with firelizards than with other dragons."
Of course, it was rumored that the first white had been like that too. Maybe it was connected to whatever made the white dragon uninterested in females. Maybe there was... He mentally shook his head. Purth was just...different.
"And you're probably right."
