Lessons and chores were done, and a gorgeous day was fading into evening.
The colors of the sunset were not so very different from those that marked the young dragon that curled on the floor of the bowl.
Fioreth was just about big enough to make a nice, comfortable, backrest for M'kar. It was perfect. "About all this day needs to make it all the way perfect is a fair of firelizards."
From her perch on a rock nearby, Flirt chirped. What, she wasn't good enough?
"Yes, yes, you're a gorgeous green, Flirt. Maybe you should flirt up some company?"
It wouldn't be that long before she was old enough to rise, would it..

Grabeth circled down into the 'Bowl. She and her rider had gone for a short flight. K'vet insisted that the green get her exercise, even though she much preferred naps. Isn't that a beautiful sunset, mine? I think we should relax for a while and watch it, Grabeth said, landing in the floor of the bowl and promptly sprawling out there. Hello, Fioreth. Your hide is almost like the sunset! It's pretty! She wasn't flirting, really, it was just a genuine compliment. Grabeth didn't usually want to use all the effort required of being coy.
K'vet chuckled. It looked like Grabeth was going to be stuck there for a while, and he might as well join her. He pulled off his helmet and jumped down from her back. "Grabeth wanted to watch the sunset," K'vet explained to the weyrling.

M'kar grinned at the older greenweyrling. "I can't say I blame her. We're in no hurry to move either."
Thank you, Grabeth the fire sent with lazy hues, definitely not shifting from his position.
You'll be that big some day M'kar sent to his dragon, cheerfully.
Flirt chirped, flew over to the much bigger green and perched on her, chirping again. Hihihihihi that seemed to say.
