Weyr Community holds are places where old weyrs used to be. They support themselves like a hold, but are where old dragonriders live. Candidates are trained at the Community weyr hold. Some candidates do go to the Weyr communities, but rarely. His family could have lived at one. A fertile queen might have lived there too. I will put the difference in the rules. Community weyr hold is where most candidates came from. Some blue rider will set up one so that he can have workers. He would send them off to impress at wherever a queen has had her flight. A Weyr community hold is just a big weyr cothold, where most people live. If anyone has questions, post a thread in the general board.
