Lesson six: geography test, visualisation practice, first flight between
‘Alright everyone, pens down.’ D’tini called, ending the geography test with relief, on his part anyway, it would be fair to say that some of the weyrlings looked nervous. He began walking around the classroom colleting tests.
‘Now the test is over it’s time for a bit more practical work. We’ll be meeting our dragons in the training grounds in a few minutes, so on the way I’d like everyone to pick an image, it can be anything, and send it on to your dragon. Then ask your dragon to send it to Fortuth and the other dragons in the class. That’ll help both of you sharpen up your visualisation skills. Which you’re all going to need because it’s time for your first trip between. So everyone collect your gear and get out to the training grounds.’ With that D’tini collected his own things and strode out the classroom himself.

Training grounds, please, Fioreth M'kar sent to his unusual dragon.
Okay! What are we working on?
Visualization
The fire rider had handed in his test, now he headed for the training grounds, stopping to grab his flight jacket (far too warm to wear in the classroom) on the way. Fioreth had grown into a strong, agile dragon although, of course, he was far from a large one. He seemed bent on staying about the size of the average green.
That, he presumed, was the size fire dragons were, no sense arguing about it. He was glad, because it meant he would mostly chase greens, and some of the greenriders were cute. The sapphire riders, not so much.
Once on the grounds, he moved over to Fioreth, who's eyes whirled his excitement, and started to harness the fire. Once the dragon had stopped growing, he thought he might get a nicer set of straps. For Gathers and the like. Black would look good.
