D’tini absentmindedly petted his firelizard, for once in his life Kismet was not stealing or flirting, this was because the blue was asleep. D’tini sighed, leaned back against the wall and closed his eyes. Do you hear that Fortuth? He asked happily of the blue who was sprawling on a ledge a ways above him. No I do not hear anything.[/color] the blue replied, a slightly confused tone to his usually detached voice.

D’tini smiled even broader at Fortuth’s answer and nodded. Yes, that’s because there are no sounds to hear. he replied, cheerfully. D’tini are you feeling well? Fortuth asked leaning his head over the edge of his ledge to look down at the relaxing form of his rider. Yes thank you Fortuth, I have not gone completely mad. I’m just exalting in the fact that I have no class today and can’t hear a single weyrling rider talking. If I’d have known how much work being weyrlingmaster to so many weyrlings was I’d have run screaming from the position.

Fortuth rumbled softly. That’s probably why they let you find out all by yourself. the blue commented, then an idea to tease D’tini that was just to good to pass up occurred to Fortuth. I know what you could do with, a mate to help you with some of that stress. You could pick out a nice greenrider, I like greens. Very much.

D’tini flushed and sat bolt upright making little strangling sounds. Fortuth! He finally managed as scolding. Fortuth rumbled louder and switched his tail. I don’t know why’re you’re so upset, there are quite a few riders you could probably get on with. the dragon continued mercilessly.

Aphrodie wasn't a weyrling any more. Although...she didn't ride green. Then again, she rode copper, and coppers were not that much bigger than blues. Certainly small enough to be flown by one.

Maybe those thoughts might hit D'tini's brain as the pretty young copperrider wandered past, or started to, anyway. Seeing D'tini there, Aphrodie waved.

"Hey there, D'tini." She didn't have to call him weyrlingmaster all the time *now*, surely. Her dragon was nowhere in evidence, but her firelizards were...aqua on one shoulder, green on the other. She had a horrible feeling Ocean might be getting proddy. Shimi had already flown once...but, typical green, had abandoned her clutch.

Aphrodie never did find it. Ah well. They didn't need to be over-run by greens anyway. The aqua queen was, of course, different. When she rose, she would undoubtedly guard her clutch well. She'd have eggs to give away.

That would be quite fun, she thought. Presiding over a hatching. Copper dragons didn't seem to be fertile, so it would be the closest she would get...

When would *Geisteth* rise...

Oh well, look at that. It’s Geisteth’s rider, I know you like males better but perhaps you could get on her good side for my sake? She might be inclined to put in a good word for me with her rather attractive dragon.[/color] Fortuth’s voice took on a sly tone that warned D’tini the blue was probably serious, at least about chasing Geisteth when the copper rose, possibly not about expecting D’tini to do some of his work for him.

As if Fortuth rendering him speechless with teasing (and from a place where D’tini couldn’t reach the blue to hit him too) wasn’t bad enough Kismet chose that very moment to wake up and trill sweetly at the green and aqua firelizards. D’tini seriously wanted the ground to open and swallow him whole. Fortunatly, rather than out and out flirting the blue firelzard vanished, he was probably going to steal something of D’tini’s to offer the female ‘lizards in exchange for their favour but right now that wasn’t important to D’tini, one troublesome blue gone, one still bothering him.

D’tini managed to get all the impulses to laugh at, or strangle, his bondeds down to a repressible level, which was a good thing. He might not be in charge of Aphrodie anymore but he still didn’t need to look stupid in front of her. ‘Hello Aphrodie. I trust life a fully-fledged pair is agreeing with you and Giesteth? You might want to watch out for my firelizard by the way. He’s probably going to bring your girls something stolen.’ D’tini indicated the firelizards on the girl’s shoulders as if to explain his statement. ‘I just apologise to everyone I see for whatever Kismet’s done recently.’ He joked, smiling a little.

Aphrodie laughed. "He's wasting his time. Shimi flew recently and Ocean is not really interested in blues."

Proving her point, the aqua queen was completely ignoring the blue firelizard in favor of gently nibbling at her human's hair.

"Shimi can be trouble too, although she doesn't steal things. She mostly annoys the cooks." Aphrodie shrugged, reaching up to rub Ocean. The green, though, lifted off and then vanished.

"Probably where she went now. Ocean tends to be more...inclined to hang out with me." A slight shake of her head. "She's gotten pretty big." About the size of a brown, sure, but that was still pretty big, especially next to her green sister.

"I just seem to only attract female dragonkin, don't I." Hrm. Well, there was no sense flirting with the weyrlingmaster. From what she knew, he preferred his own sex for liaisons. "And we're both doing fine. Geisteth is a good flyer."
