Are you still angry? Tombath enquired, almost pleasantly. He’d noticed Uu’ian sulking (again!), and decided to leave off sunning for a while to see if he could get his rider into a better mood. More than a day, in Tombath’s opinion, was far too long to be sulking about the results of a Flight. He’d only managed a few hours himself, and since it was him who’d lost the bronze felt he had more right to sulk anyway.
Uu’ian turned his body away from his dragon so he wouldn’t have to look into the gently whirling eyes. He knew from experience that looking into Tombath’s eyes was fatal in an argument. Determindly the young bronzerider stared at the wall.
Tombath sighed gently and rested his muzzle affectionately against the top of his rider’s head, though it looked slightly ridiculous, no one was around that Tombath thought it worth paying attention to. I know it’s upsetting that we didn’t win Malaracyth’s Flight but I really think you should forget it now. We can chase Haith when she rises, or one of the younger queens. Tuinth and Kellerth will both grow to be fine queens.
Uu’ian did turn to look at his dragon then, in total disbelief. Tombath thought he was angry because… he wanted to… he thought… You seriously think I want to go through that again? Uu’ian asked incredulously. and WIN?
Tombath drew back, startled. You mean you don’t want to win a queen? He asked, he’d never considered that before. Why wouldn’t anyone want to win a queenflight? It must be some human thing, so what Tombath really needed was a dragon who knew about human thinking. Hexeth? If you aren’t doing anything important could you come down here? I believe I need your skills in understanding humans. The bronze asked courteously, rather than ordering, often it didn’t occur to Tombath to order even the smallest dragon around. Why should he bother? This way was easier.

The blue repiled to his brother, Don't worry Tombath, me and And'l will be there soon. And'l had been with Hexeth walking along the beach. Somtimes the bluerider did this with the goal that maybe he could get another flit, he did not expect to find three flits like his brother had. Only Purth could locate flits that well. Yet finding a nice egg that was the last of a clucth would be nice. Yet he had no luck, plus if he had found somthing he was sure that Leaf would tell him, and then proceed to mother the newly impressed flit. Though he had bad memories form the last time he found a clucth. He had gotten over those.
It was at this moment that he felt a soft nugde on his shoulder form the blue who softly nuzzled his bonded to get his attention. And'l looked back at his dragon curiously for moment and ran his hand over the dragons snout and asked him affectionate, "What is it love.", the blue reply was simple Tombath is calling. I think there is somthing wrong with Uu'ian. And'l thought for a moment, and he quickly realized what the reason probably was. The gold flight had just happened yesterday, and though Tombath had luckily not won he still figured that with the way Uu'ian seemed to be shy when it came to serious things then this would bother the bronzerider quite a bit.
He sighed for moment, becuase he knew Uu'ian. It normally took him a day of romanicing the other before they normally did anything under the furs, and that was not just for Uu'ian's sake. It was obviously for And'l's to, though Uu'ian just seem to get shy about serious things, and for the lust of a flight to force itself on his weyrmate. He wondered what Uu'ian was thinking. There had been some greens fly, but Hexeth seemed to have no internest, yet And'l somtimes wondered if the blues shy nature and possieveness over him caused the blue to skip flights to keep him out of another bed besides Uu'ians. Plus there was the fact that And'l seemed to be just as scared of flights as his weyrmate. They where both shy about such things.
Though And'l knew Hexeth would eventully chance, though he had no idea the blue had his eye on Reinth. He still knew the day would come, "Come on love, we need to go. I don't think that Uu'ian is the only one who is confused." Tombath was probably confused with the way that Uu'ian acting. Most dragons, expect for maybe Hexeth, seem to be confused with any aversion to a flight. Hexeth though seemed to understand it probably a little to much. He did not want Hexeth to hurt himself by not chasing. He walked over and climbed on Hexeth's back and the blue took off and went bettewen. He then appered above the weyr that the two dragons shared with there riders and landed on the ledge to head inside.
The dragon and rider pair walked into the weyr, and And'l walked over and sat down next to Uu'ian and put his arms around his weyrmates shoulder, and asked the other male softly, "What's worng Uu'ian. Is it the flight? I know we have not talked about. I think we should, so tell me about it? Are you going to be ok?" He looked at his weyrmate curiously giving the bronzerider a kiss on the cheek as he held him close. While Hexeth went over to where his brother was and softly nuzzled the bronze dragon and asked him, So I am guessing yours is still sulking over the flight Tombath? Do you know why? Hexeth knew the reason, but wanted to see what the bronze's opintion on it was before he attempted to explian it.

Tombath shuffled his wings, resettled them in exactly the same position as before, and settled down to wait. Somehow the bronze had come by unlikely and curiously unshakeable faith that somehow Hexeth and his rider could sort out anything. He hoped they could sort this out quickly; Tombath didn’t like things he couldn’t understand.
The sound of Hexeth landing on the weyrledge was so familiar it didn’t even disturb Uu’ian’s thoughts. Nothing penetrated the miasma of gloom the bronzerider had surrounded himself with, not the sound of wings, not the discontented rumble of Tombath’s thoughts, not even the footsteps of his weyrmate crossing the room.
Uu’ian’s body stiffened as And’l’s arms wrapped around him, resisting the embrace. He didn’t feel like cuddling up, and he really didn’t feel like talking for once in his life. Conversely And’l was full questions. When did things get so backwards exactly?
Tombath crooned softly, glad to see his clutchbrother. Hexeth didn’t waste time either, the blue was most always direct in his speech, when he could be persuaded to speak to someone. Tombath thought, his eye colours shifting slowly. I thought he was upset because we didn’t win. Tombath started with what he knew. He doesn’t seem to be enthused with the idea of chasing one of the other queens either. So he doesn’t want to chase queens? But it their due and my duty! If I didn’t chase them how would they know true beauty? the bronze’s tail swept back and forth in agitation as his thoughts grew stranger. Golds must be chased. The idea was deeply rooted in Tombath’s mind, stemming as it did from primal instinct rather than conscious choice.
Uu’ian turned his head so his face rested against And’l’s shoulder/ ‘Hrrmm. Don’t suppose you’d care to be distracted instead?’ he asked with a hopeless sort of hope. Deep down he knew And’l would get the whole story out of him eventually but that didn’t mean he couldn’t stave off the moment for a little while.

(OOC:Kisha, I know that what Hexeth is saying would probably confuse Tombath into not saying anything, but please try and get the bronze to say quite a bit. It took me a long time to think of what to make Hexeth say and I would like it to not be wasted ;D)
Hexeth softly crooned towards his brother as he softly nuzzled him, Tombath think about it for a moment why Uu’ian would not want to chase queens. He waited for the bronze to response before continuing, You do know what happens Tombath to yours if you where to catch? It would mean that he would have to fly with one of the queen riders, and I think that yours only wants to be flown by Mine if it makes any sense. He is scared of flight Tombath, just like mine is, because when you fly Tombath you are making him fly with someone he does not want to fly with. Yours and Mine are both shy about flight, and so only feel safe about it with each other. Yet when you chase, you bring someone else into the whole thing. Uu’ian is scared that you will win and he will have to fly one of the queen riders and not my rider. Hexeth looked at his brother for a moment again giving him time to respond before he continued on.
Hexeth through hours of explanation by And’l though he found it confusing was just saying exactly what And’l had said to him, Mine explained it like this Tombath. When you chased the queen yesterday Tombath, you where the only one chasing the queen, and Uu’ian was chasing her rider and while you want to chase the queen he does not want to chase her rider. He wants my rider to chase him. Yet you made him do it when you chased, so he was scared because he was doing something he did not want to do. Does that make sense to you Tombath. It confused Hexeth, but he tried his best to understand, and so tried to say it in simple terms, So no Tombath he does not want to chase queens. He wants Mine to chase him. You’re the only one who wants to chase queens. Just like Mine only wants to chase yours. Yet I want to chase greens. The blue shook his head and let out what could be considered a sigh, Sometimes I wish our little joke on the beach would come true. Then it would be easier on both our bonded. He was speaking on the joke about Tombath chasing him, yet again the blue was just preaching the gospel according to And’l.
And’l smiled softly at his weyrmate and gave the other male a soft kiss on the cheek, “Now Uu’ian what sort of distraction are you cooking up. Because you know I am going to get a answer out of you withier it be here, or even if it is during pillow talk.” He softly put his fingers under Uu’ian’s chin and had the bronze rider face him and said to him softly, “Now love, please tell me what happened? What is wrong? If you want to go to the bed and cuddle while talking I don’t mind that. If there is something you wanted to do before talking I don’t mind that either, but I can tell you that Tombath is not letting you leave this weyr without a answer. Neither will I.” He spoke affectionately and gave the bronze rider a soft kiss.

Tombath slowly let his back legs slide out from under him, resting most of his weight on his forelegs and chest as he thought. His tail still flicked from side to side, less forcefully but no less a sign of agitation. The bronze was floundering around in unfamiliar waters without a map when it came to most human behaviours. His rider tended to be unpredictable and, like the bronze himself, rather eccentric, which often left Tombath confused when he compared Uu’ian’s behaviour to that of most other humans. Plus they both tended to avoid serious topics, seriousness was for other pairs. So when it came to this bit of seriousness the bronze did what he usually did, waited an appropriate length of time, then gestured with a twitch of two claws for Hexeth to continue.
As the blue continued Tombath could only feel more confused. Did the feelings of lifemates not transcend such things? Where exactly in all this did mating really, truly, matter? It was probably a pleasant enough experience, for those who got to experience it, but hardly important. Not in the same way that true bonds of thought and feeling were important. Tombath shuffled his wings uneasily again, producing a series of soft rustling sounds to go with the scuffing of his tail on the floor. I do not understand. The bronze confessed quietly, embarrassed by his own inability to get thing straight. I begin to think I never will.
As his brother tried again, the bronze settled his muzzle down on his forelegs. But he was with me. I felt him, he was more with me than he has ever been. Tombath protested, that was how it went, you chased together, you won or lost, together. I must chase the queens because, because… Tombath trailed off as the reason eluded him, whatever justification he came up with would be just that, a reasonable justification for what his nature drove him to do.
They need not mate with others if they do not wish to. Tombath pointed out, believing himself to have a reasonable point. I am sure other riders would be more than happy to take that duty if they do not wish to. I could wish they were a little more confident though. It was true, the devotion the two riders showed was rather sweet but after that it got complicated.
Tombath eyed the blue with amusement. while there are time I could wish for the same thing it is a pointless wish. There is no certainty that you would even select me as your mate if you did Fly. I am nowhere near as agile as you. How would that be easier on them? As much as he might rationalise he knew deep down that mating Flights were not rational, or sensible, and really had very little to do with much else.
Uu’ian soon found he had no choice but to make and hold eye contact as And’l clearly wished. Unfortunately all he could think, wryly, was that And’l had just threatened him with the strangest pillow talk conversation in history, and one he’d like to avoid at that. ‘You’re going to insist on this conversation I take it?’ Uu’ian asked rhetorically, if it was going to happen he’d rather get it out of the way. Aside from anything else he didn’t really think he’d enjoy any kind of amorous activity with a conversation like that hanging over him. ‘Alright, what specifically did you want an answer to? Remembering that I have no idea what’s general to all Flights, what’s specific to queens and what is simply Tombath’s outlook on the whole business.’ Uu’ian’s tone was wary, but resigned to the whole business, the sooner he got it out of the way the better.

Hexeth rumbled with laugher and curled up next to his confused brother, he let his tail curl with that of the bronze simply to stop Tombath form move his tail around with such agitation, I know that he was with you Tombath, just like And'l will be with me. Yet that does not mean that Uu'ian desires the queens like you do. Just because you enjoyed the flight does not mean that he did. Please tell me, why did you pause. I was watching, and tell me why did you pause. Was it Uu'ian's fear that stopped you? I know you went anyway since you must, but what was your reason for pausing? You took much longer than the other bronzes to take off. So Tombath, how did Uu'ian feel about it? He waited for his brother to answer him, before he continued. Giving the bronze soft nuzzles to try and calm the larger dragon down.
If he did not like the flight, then he did not like it. That is why he is scared. He does not like the feeling. It scares him. Just like it scare's mine. Why do you think I have yet to fly. Three greens have flown and I was worried for And'l, so despite what I wanted, I didn't chase. The blue seemed sad about the last part, going against instinct did have bad affects on the blue, but he worried about his And'l
He then continued after a moment, Maybe our could have that arrange, so someone could take their place, I don't think And'l has thought about that one yet. The blue almost seemed surprised as he spoke this, now it was the bronze that was telling blue something new, I think they will get more confident. Remember they have only been together a turn and a half. They will probably change when they get older and more mature. A small rumble of laughter escaped the blue, Tombath while the fact that I am more agile may be the case, what other dragon do you think I would choose. I always run to you when I want to be hidden, and your the only dragon besides our clucthmother and Purth that I talk to on a regular basis. In my opinion Tombath, you would be the only choice, for me, and for And'l. Plus then you would be able to hide me when I am done, remember that promise. I would probably only call for you, and no other male's. Though we both know it will never happen. The blue laughed again. The smaller dragon's tail curled with the larger one, he was trying to stop the other form being so restless, as he draped his wing over Tombath the best he could. Now this was defiantly a swap. Though the blue still wanted a wing over him too.
And'l softly smiled, "Now that is better." Though at this moment the young man paused for a moment before speaking so that he could ask the right question, though he purposely pulled his weyrmate closer while he thought, and began to absent mindedly twirl a lock of Uu'ian hair around his finger, "Tell me Uu'ian what did the flight feel like for you? Was it bad? Were you scared?" He waited for a answer before he asked the next question, "Plus I want to know why are you in here acting so sad? I mean the flight is over and Tombath did not win, are you afraid that it is going to happen again. Tombath seems confused about the fact that you don't want him to chase queens. Please tell me what is wrong love?" He wanted to know what was wrong, he could tell that Uu'ian had been moping and that he had not enjoyed the flight, and based on Tombath's question he guessed that Uu'ian did not want the flight. Though he thought he knew the answer and that the bronze rider had the same fear that he did, he did not say anything so that he could make sure that he was right.

Tombath’s tail went for another sweep across the ground, only to be restrained by Hexth’s tail curling around it, and though the bronze felt that he had moved his tail so much in the recent past that it would now be able pull the blue around after it he settled for flicking only the end about in a random pattern. I don’t know, I don’t remember much, exactly, except her. She was all that mattered then so she was all I thought of. Tombath confessed, turning his face away from the blue as he did. He had been aware that his rider wouldn’t approve of his plan to chase Malaracyth but had ignored that thought thinking that Uu’ian would if not enjoy the chase then at least tolerate it once it began. He just couldn’t see where everything had gone wrong.
With his tail trapped Tombath flexed his claws a few times, as if he simply could not keep still. What am I to do about it? Tombath asked, only partially rhetorically. He could do with answers, but he didn’t expect his brother to have any. Maybe we should force them to socialise more, and when I say we I mean I in this case. If they knew the riders better then they wouldn’t be so scared. Perhaps a rider who is obviously no match for either of them, then they need not fear losing their weyrmate. Now it is just a shame that Fantasmath is no green, a rider like his would be positively ideal. Tombath wasn’t seriously considering this ploy, apart from any of the other complications he’ have trouble getting his rider to socialise with any goldrider without Uu’ian suspecting ulterior motives on his part. Still it might work for And’l if they could find the right green, the right rider, and actually get And’l to meet them. Well when he thought of it that way, it wasn’t that great a plan for And’l either.
Tombath’s eyes picked up more happy tones as Hexeth spoke, apparently he’d had one good thought. It just seems sort of obvious to me, if they don’t like the rider they just need someone they do like to be there. They just can’t see it if they worry too much. Worrying gets in the way of thinking. Tombath snorted. They get older all the time but they don’t mature at all. It seems to take them a very long time, just look at how slowly their hatchlings grow.
Tombath thought for a moment. I don’t know what goes on your head Hexeth, maybe you’d like a dragon who understands things like you do, or perhaps you would prefer the grace of a rainbow… Tombath suggested mildly, it was flattering that Hexeth thought so much of him but that was something that could never happen, so Hexeth had better pick out some nice females to chase around. Despite his thoughts Tombath twitched his tail around so it curled around Hexeth, taking the blue’s tail with it, and leaned his muzzle against the blue’s shoulder. I will always hide you Hexeth, no matter what you do. The bronze rumbled softly and turned the tables on Hexeth by curling his longer body around his brother and spreading a wing, almost totally concealing Hexeth from view.
Uu’ian leaned against And’l unconsciously relaxing, only to tense again when the expected spate of questions arrived. Uu’ian was silent for a moment while he tried to form appropriate answers, he didn’t want to scare And’l because it hadn’t escaped his notice that Hexeth ignored Rising greens, and he didn’t want to upset Tombath too much, the bronze was only acting according to his nature after all. ‘It was… strange.’ He finally settled on. ‘I was Tombath, or very nearly. I wasn’t me any more, or maybe I was, but I was inside with no power to affect the world around me.’ Uu’ian shiver involuntarily, his thoughts shying away from that loss of control he found so disturbing.
Uu’ian thought that once he answered one question he might be granted a reprieve, or at least an easier question to answer. Instead it was another hard question. ‘You should know by now I’m not the best person at dealing with matters of the heart.’ Uu’ian reminded his weyrmate. ‘I was scared from the moment he took off. I don’t want any queenriders in my life. Only you, only ever you. I was scared you wouldn’t want me anymore if he won, if I…’ Uu’ian caught And’l’s eye again, his expression a mix of fear and hope, and love. Everything he couldn’t express with clumsy words.

Hexeth crooned softly as he felt the large wing come over him and hid him form view. He knew that no matter what Tombath would always hide. Should he get scared, he could always find his brother and the bronze was always there for him. He did think highly of the bronze and no matter Tombath thought, Hexeth knew that if blue's where capable of having flights then he would chose Tombath every single time, no second thoughts would enter his mind, Well if that was the case then why did you pause, Tombath. Don't be a silly weyrling, I know you where worried about Uu'ian. He does not like becuase like mine he is worried it will affect thier bond. Though I don't think that some silly flight would seperate them form being weyrmate's.
He then gave the bronze a silution though he did not figure that the bronze would like it, Well you could always do what I do, and just only chase when you feel that you can no longer resiet. The fact that you paused shows that you could have turned around. I know you may not like that idea, but it is one that could buy yours time, so that we can work out a silution. That is what I am doing with Mine anyway. The blue pressed himself closer to the bronze, and did not say anything as though the normally very well spoken blue was made quiet for a moment, Well I already had the idea of chasing Reinth. Her rider already has a weyrmate, and mine is willing to socialize with her. So I think it would be eaiser for him that way. None of the other green riders seem right, unless I chased Blumath. Yet she will probably chose the young rainbow, so Reinth seems a better becuase she rises less. Though for yours we will have to find someone. I am not sure though, do you have any ideas. He looked at his brother curiously for a moment and waited for a answer before he countied speaking.
Hexeth let out a small rumble of laughter, Tombath you quite a silly bronze, do you really think I would let any other male cacth me. I hide form the others. Your the only one I don't hide form. Plus And'l would want me to choose you. The blue found the subject intersting even if it would never happen. He only thought about it becuase of how close he was to his brother, the bronze to him was rock of protection, and had great affection for the bronze. Whom he softly crooned at and nuzzled.
And'l did not say anything at first, though the blue rider did seem to be visably shaken. Though the bronzerider had tried to be careful with his words, all he had done was conforimed And'l's fears about flight, he let go of Uu'ian as he thought for a moment, "That seems to be scary. Losing control of one's self and choices, plus the fact that Hexeth is more likely to cacth any green that he chases." The blue rider seemed to shiver, "I hope that he can keep himself form chasing." It was obvious that And'l was the source of his blue disinterst in flights that had been the reason that Hexeth had yet to chase.
Though the next words of the bronzerider made And'l pulled the other male back tightly into his arms, "Uu'ian no matter what happens in any flight, I will always love you. No silly night that you spend with some queenrider is going to change that, I am always going to desire you. Besides maybe we can have it arraged for someone to take your place that way it will always be only me who is under the furs with you." He gave the other male a soft kiss, "Yet above all else, just remember I love you." He gave Uu'ian's a soft kiss to the neck and said, "I hope that takes away some of your fears." He loved Uu'ian and would never leave the bronzerider.

Tombath let out an irritable growl, not really directed at Hexeth, although the blue would keep going on, was it not bad enough that he knew not only the humiliation defeat but shame that he’d upset his rider as well? The bronze’s irritation was more directed at the whole situation. In all of it he knew but one immutable truth: the queens must be chased. Is it not enough that I absent myself from the Flights of other females? he asked, not really expecting an answer.
You would think in all the greens, sapphires, coppers and rainbows maturing there would be at least a few that might work out. Maybe we should just try chasing everything with a tail for a while and get them used to it. Once they saw it didn’t change anything I’m sure they’d be less adverse to it. The bronze blinked slowly, letting each eyelid almost close over his eye, though the crossing of the membranes meant he couldn’t see that way anyway. He was temporising because he couldn’t come up with any names just at the moment.
Why Hexeth, Tombath suddenly arched his neck and eyed the blue. You do seem fascinated by the concept. Have I caught your eye? Hardly surprising of course, I am wonderful. The bronze spoke with a coy flirting tone and twisted his tail up with Hexeth’s just a little more, deliberately trying to fluster the blue. It was an interesting concept, but Hexeth could do with discouraging a bit, otherwise he might well spend his time trying to figure out how to Fly like a green.
Fear flashed through Uu’ian’s mind, chased by disappointment, as And’l pulled away from him, clearly he hadn’t concealed enough of the truth to keep from frightening And’l off Flights, and Hexeth was bound to take to the air eventually. Uu’ian would have preferred And’l not to be as terrified as he himself had been when it happened.
Uu’ian finally relaxed and wrapped his arms around And’l, trust the bluerider to put things in perspective for him. ‘I love you too, no matter who out dragons chase.’ Uu’ian smiled for what felt like the first time in forever and pulled his love closer, claiming the bluerider’s mouth for a kiss that started out gentle but quickly turned possessive. ‘I hope I haven’t put Tombath off chasing altogether.’ Was his rather inappropriate comment after several moments of silence. Then Uu’ian realised how ridiculous that must have sounded, and how it was exactly at the wrong time and blushed. He was so not good at this sort of thing.

Hexeth crooned softly to his brother, Don't worry about it Tombath, you are doing your best. All that really matters is that you try. It would be worse if you where just chasing without care of your bondeds feelings, but I know that you can't hold back when there is a queen in the sky. What you should do is to maybe pick one queen that you like the most and just chase her, that way if you do cacth then Uu'ian will at least know her rider. He softly nuzzled the bronze as though he was proud of his idea, it was one that he had come up with and had already plan to implement with And'l. Though the next words out of the bronze's mouth made confused colors run through Hexeth's eyes, No Tombath I would not do that if I where you. I would never do that to And'l, it would cause him to much uncertainy that I really don't think he could handle, plus I don't want it to have bad affects on and tramatiz him. Hexeth was always babying and mothering his rider, though it was just the way he was. He had always protected his And'l, and he always would.
Tombath's attempt to discrouge the blue seemed to have only the oppisate affect, as it only served to encrouge the blue dragons thought. Though it was just for a moment as Tombath made the flirtous comment, that the blue's eyes seemed to go compeltely purple with lust and then quickly returned to there normaly state of soft blues and greens, Oh course Tombath, a bronze like you would cacth anyones eye don't you think. You are the sweetest one I know, and the only dragon I run to for protection. The smaller dragons comment was equally flirtous as he laid his head softly over his brothers as though in a attempt to curl there necks up.
And'l did not seem to notice the actions of his own dragons or else he probably would have stopped him and Uu'ians conversation to figure out what Hexeth was doing. Yet as such when he was pulled into a possieve kiss by his weyrmate, it took all thoughts and turned them towards him. And'l wrapped his arms around Uu'ian and returned the kiss, as the other pulled away and made a comment that for most would ruin a moment, all it did to And'l was to make him giggle as he rested his head on Uu'ians shoulder and gave a kisses to the others neck, "I hope I have not done the same to Hexeth ethier. He deserves to chase a nice pretty green like the other blues. Maybe it would distract him away for thinking about Tombath some much." The only reason those last words came out was becuase he could see what looked to be flirting going on bettewen the two male dragons. The silly actions of the two dragons only made him giggle, becuase it was obvious to him that there brotherly affection ran very deep.

You can like one queen more than others? Tombath asked as if in amazemnt, although really he was just being difficult now. Well I suppose Malaracyth and Haith already have a mate each. Perhaps I could wait for one of out young queens to rise, though I don’t think any queen will be rising for a while. That was the thing about queens, the more there were the less often each individual queen rose.
Really? I thought it was a good idea, I think they call it desensitisation or something similar to that. The bronze looked at the blue, confused tones swirling around the edges of his eyes. The idea is that they stop fearing things that don’t make sense because either they are used to them, or they see there’s no reason for them. Somehow the concept had gotten into the dragon’s head, possibly through an overheard conversation, or the thoughts of his rider, and now it was there he wasn’t going to let go easily.
Despite his intention to discourage Hexeth’s line of thought Tombath was flattered, he was, after all, a vain creature and certainly believed himself to be the best of bronzes. However it as nice to have his assumption confirmed, especially after a queen had rejected him (clearly Malaracyth was blind, or just very confused). and you are the sweetest of blues, I’m sure you look wonderful too, but it’s so hard to tell with you wanting to hide all the time. Tombath’s head snaked around so he could lick the blue’s eyeridge, rumbling mischievously as he did so.
Uu’ian wriggled slightly as And’l lips touched his neck, it tickled a bit. He directed his attention to the dragons when his weyrmate mentioned them, and just openly stared. He was used to the sight of the two male dragons curled up together, Tombath had been hiding his brother since weyrlinghood. However this time the pair were more intimately entwined than usual, with tails wrapped around each other and Hexeth resting his head on Tombath’s neck. If he didn’t know better Uu’ian would swear he just saw purple hues slide over the blues eyes, and even as he stared Tombath turned and licked his brother. ‘That is getting just a little odd. Are you sure we’ve got two males there?’ Uu’ian only sounded bemused and slightly amused by the dragons.

Hexeth crooned softly to his borther, Don't worry about it Tombath, you have pently of time to think about it and get things all sorted out. Me and you can talk about more two, maybe Lystia and her gold would be a good one to chase. She is still young so you would have time to get Uu'ian to get to know her before she rises for the first time. I could even get And'l to get to know her too, so maybe mine would not feel threatened by her. He has not really felt that way about anyone takening Uu'ian form him, but I think it would be best if we did that, just in case. Becuase I wonder if Mines reaction would have been differnt had you caught. Hexeth seriously doubted it. The blue knew that And'l cared for Uu'ian more than anyone else, and trusted the bronzerider with his life.
Hexeth sighed and shook his head, Tombath, I don't think that would work in this case. You know how shy yours get when it comes to matters such as this, and you know how mine gets too. I don't think that if we force it on them then they will like it any better. That might just make it become somthing that they fear, especially if they did not choose to do it. I don't want to go into detail, but I think that is what And'l fears most is that he does not have a choice in the matter. That is what scares him, plus it is not with yours, and I think Uu'ian is the only person whom he trust in flight. I think we need a more gentle approch with those two. The blue let out a thoughful sigh, and thought about this for a moment. He would eventully chase one day, and so needed to think of somthing, but he wanted to do somthing a bit more gentle to his bonded. Yet he did not know what.
Hexeth rumbled with a flirtous laugther, gald that he had turned the table on his brother, and brought even more affection form his favorite bronze That is very sweet of you to say Tombath, maybe I will have to fly around for you later so that you can get a better look and see. Maybe then you can show off to me, I bet you are much more handsome in the sky. A small teasing rumble of laughter came form the other male, as he returned the affectionate lick to the bronzes eyeridge before resting his head back on Tombath's neck with a soft and obviously satisfited croon. The blue was simply appeling to his brother vainity when he called him 'handsome' yet the flirtous tone was undeniable.
The blue let out a soft sigh, and as his head rested on his brothers neck he siad to Tombath in a almost absent voice, Tombath, I did not want to say this before, but I almost felt jealous when you chased that gold yesterday. That is ok isn't it. The knew that his curiousity over having Tombath fly him had probably just gotten the best of him, nothing more, nothing less. Besides he was now activly encourging Tombath to find himself a nice pretty gold, so it was nothing to worry about.
And'l wacthed the sence of affection bettewen the two brothers, yes it had become rather odd, but in his mind it was extermaly sweet and cute. "Yes I know what you mean, but I think it is just becuase they care for each other. Not many male are curled up together as much as they are, so I believe that it is only natural that they grow a bit extra in there affectionates. Though I am sure that we have two males. I know Tombath is a boy. So is my Hexeth, I think they would know the differince if they were not." He had become distracted by the sence of the two dragons being affectionate with each other, becuase he had never seen them acting like this before, mostly just the hiding, yet not this.

Tombath let his breath out in a not inconsiderable sigh and moved his head back to rest on his forelegs. Talking to Hexeth seemed like a good idea at first, and indeed things had started to make sense. It was just that as Hexeth continued to talk after that Tombath found himself getting confused all over again. Maybe he should just sit quietly somewhere and watch humans for a while, and then he’d understand Hexeth better. Sometimes Tombath wondered if there hadn’t been some kind of mistake that resulted in the blue having a more human mind than a dragon one.
Sometimes the bronze also suspected his brother of being too sympathetic to his bonded as well, when did Hexeth ever take the time to do something other than what And’l wanted? Tombath ignored for a moment the fact that both the blue and his bonded were pretty much the same in their tastes. Therefore, why would Hexeth be any different in his attitudes toward Flights? Tombath had to admit he could see the sense in Hexeth’s idea but he personally preferred his own, no matter how much his brother seemed determined to shoot it down. It wasn’t that he wanted to upset his rider, it was just that Tombath had no intention of enduring a life of celibacy either. He clearly wasn’t cut out for it. Maybe we could find some other dragons with weyrmated riders and ask them what they do. But not Kylith. Tombath had a nagging feeling the other bronze would say he always won, and even if he didn’t, he’d still think it.
I’m sure all the pretty greens will be watching too. Tombath prodded his brother playfully with his muzzle. It will be the first time most of them have seen you at all! They’ll all be wondering who that strange blue is. The bronze was in a teasing mood now and he felt his comments were justified, certainly he and Uu’ian often shared the thought that very few outside their weyrling class would recall the pair existed. Not that Uu’ian minded that at all.
Tombath considered the question seriously, the tip of his captured tail flicking as he did so. I can’t see why it would be. He replied after a pause. We were missing time we could spend together. But you need never worry, Hexeth, you are my favourite dragon. Tombath cheerfully announced. It was true after all, he spent more time with Hexeth than any other dragon, and did enjoy the blue’s company, even when Hexeth was annoying or confusing him.
Uu’ian shrugged, he supposed one of them would have noticed by now if they had a female dragon, it was just that you rarely, well as far he knew never, saw two male dragons curled up together like that. In fact males tended not to get that close to each other, and the same went for females too. Dragons just didn’t seem to be that into touching. ‘I suppose so.’ He eventually replied, leaning into And’l. ‘Do the greens even know Hexeth exists?’ he asked, unconsciously echoing Tombath’s earlier comment.
