Physical Appearance: Standing at just below 6ft Carinsa is a tall young woman. She has dark brown hair, but has worn it short for many turns, finding it easier to manage and look after. Her eyes are a deep rich brown, fathomless pools that seem to draw you into their depths. She isn’t exactly skinny, most would call her curvaceous with ample feminine attributes. She is a lovely looking woman, and enjoys looking nice and wearing clothes that show her figure off.
Personality: Carinsa is a deeply thoughtful young woman. She hates to see any in pain or being victimised. She isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes and will speak her mind. She always has been a people person, enjoying being around folks. She was often found in the kitchens as a youngster, happy to help the Headwoman whilst her parents were busy with teaching or tending the ill. She is a woman people know they can trust.
She will do everything in her power to defend any down trodden or being treated unfairly. She is a very capable organiser, loving to be involved in the day to day running of the Weyr. As a Healer she loves to be busy, if she isn’t tending the poorly she can be found studying or even helping in the lower caverns.
There is a side to her that you don’t really want to see. She does have a temper, and she isn’t afraid to use it. She is a very just woman, and will tell you if you are doing something that is not right. Not someone to cross, if you annoy her it could take you a while to end up back in her good books.
History: Born at the Healer Hall, Carinsa was fostered with the other youngsters of the Hall, enjoying her lessons with the Harper and working with the Headwoman. She learnt a lot from the older woman, and worked hard to gain her approval. She loved the time spent with her parents, they were both Healers, and worked hard teaching at the Healer Hall. It was no real surprise when she was accepted as a Healer Apprentice. What was surprising was her age. She was just 10 turns when they took her in. She was a quick study and surprised her Masters with her brightness. She was 18 when she earned her Journeyman knots and was sent to Allride to help with the Illness there.
Arriving at the Weyr she worked effortless to help with those affected by the mystery illness. She was with many as they succumbed to the effects and hated to lose so many, especially the riders, when their dragons betweened she wept hard every time. She was surprised when she was informed she had been searched as a Candidate. She has stood at a couple of hatching already, but knows if she doesn’t impress she has a craft that will keep her busy.
