Keshia strolled cheerfully out into the weyrbowl, with Fantasmath’s straps slung over her shoulders, even now she wasn’t too confident about flying without them. She’d ridden plenty of runners bareback but Fantasmath was a lot taller than any runnerbeast even before he left the ground, Keshia would hate to think how a fall from dragonback could mangle her up when she hit the ground, if they were high enough it would probably kill her instantly. Better to use the straps and take a little ridicule from daredevils than to take chances with her life, and therefore her dragon’s.
Fantasmath landed neatly a few feet away and pranced in place like an excited runnerbeast. Despite spending the morning at wing drills the blue was eager to get moving, it wasn’t often he got to take Keshia out just for the fun of it, she always professed tiredness just after wing drills, but today a bath and food seemed to have filled her with energy.
Where are we going to go? the dragon asked as his rider began working. The beach maybe? It’s been forever since we saw the dolphins. Or maybe we could go further inland where hardly anyone goes. We might see wild whers again.
‘Don’t you think it’s a bit bright for whers?’ Keshia asked her dragon tolerantly as she tugged at a strap.
Oh, I forgot. The blues wings slumped slightly in dissapointment.

Getrara wasn't sure what to do with her time. Puroth wanted to go somewhere for JUST the two of them, but Puroth always was jealous of the time Getrara payed attention to others. Puroth had learned to be less demanding, but it was still annoying.
Harness me up! the copper demanded of her rider. Getrara gave a slight sigh and smiled. Even if Puroth was demanding and annoying at times, she still loved the copper.
Getrara grabbed the harness off a hook and carred it over to Puroth. Puroth stood stock still while she harnessed Puroth. Then Puroth was ready to move. Their weyr led out to the weyrbowl, and so they walked there so that they could have more room to take off.
Hello Fantasmath, the copper greeted the blue.
Getrara meanwhile was frantically trying to remember the girl's name. It had caused such a stir to have a girl riding blue, but that had changed with the impression of a girl to a brown and a guy to a sapphire.
What is the rider's name? Getrara begged her dragon.
I don't remember. The dragon's name is Fantasmath. Puroth told her rider.
Getrara still couldn't remember for a second, and then it hit her. "Hi Keshia. Going out to enjoy some freetime?"

Keshia paid no mind to the sound of another human and dragon moving out into the weyrbowl, it was a common enough sound in the large area that it could be ignored in favour of finishing up her task.
Fantamath twisted his neck around slightly for a better view of the copper, and gave her an admiring look. Hello Puroth, you’re looking lovely this afternoon, have you been oiled? The blue meant every word he spoke, though he knew the copper to be a prideful creature Fantasmath would never give out in insincere compliment. He was just that kind of serious dragon.
‘Hrrm? Oh hello Getrara.’ Keshia looked up from Fantasmath’s side and smiled at the copperrider, having spoken to Getrara occasionally before during wing exercises Keshia was actually confident enough to look the other young woman in the eye. ‘Yes, we were planning to head out somewhere for a bit, as soon as Fantasmath makes up his mind where he wants to go. He’s torn between going to swim with the dolphins or flying inland and exploring a bit.’ Keshia’s hand came up to run over the blue hide before her absent mindedly as she spoke. ‘I see you two had a similar idea.’ She added, waving her free hand at Puroth’s harnessed form.
