OOC: Yes, I know the Olympics are almost over, and I have to wait on the contest to hatch so they'll be late, but hey.
By the hearth of the living caverns, somebody has set a basket. That that somebody is copperrider Aphrodie is obviously only by the identity of the firelizard that watches over the clutch. Ocean is almost never leaving the eggs. After all, that is what fairmates are for.
1. Rock egg - A little smaller than average, this egg is plain grey for the most part, with a circle of dark yellow on it. It almost always seems to roll so that said circle is on the top, looking almost like a target (curling)
2. Puck egg - The smallest egg in the clutch, assumed by most to contain green, blue at best, this egg is pure white and slightly flattened on top. It might worry some that it will not hatch at all... (ice hockey)
3. Swirling Dance egg - By quite a bit the largest in the clutch, broad swirls of pink and purple and yellow flow across the grey-white surface of the egg. It always seems to be in motion. (figure skating)
4. Sled egg - This egg reminds many who see it of a sled that might be ridden by a child. It is deep red, but with thin grey lines that run across it, suggesting runners. Darker red lines also flow along it, giving an odd impression of speed (bobsled)
5. Twisting egg - Vertical lines seem to support this egg, but between them is a swirl of many colours, such that the person watching it might become dizzy for a moment. The suggestion of an evergreen tree forms a backdrop. (slalom skiing)
6. Flying egg - The dark base of this egg is such that the light top seems to be caught in the middle of a leap, caught in the air. Its light top has the suggestion of wings, almost. (ski jump)
7. Bullet egg - Dark grey and almost cylindrical in form, this egg glints as if made of metal. It is one of the smaller eggs, no doubt containing a smaller firelizard (biathlon)
8. Racer egg - This egg always seems to be trying to shoulder one of the other eggs to the edge of the clutch, somehow migrating to the center. It is deep blue in color with red stripes...yes, those are definitely stripes. Oddly, as the eggs get closer to hatching, it seems to drift more to the front and the center, as if determined to be the first to hatch and impress (snowboard cross)
9. Bright sky egg - Swirls lift upwards, swirls of every color. Like the flying egg, it seems to have an impression of space below it, but unlike it, the swirls lead the eye such as to make it twist and turn in the air. No, its only an egg, and quite still, but the impression is there nonetheless (aerials)
10. Medal egg - Gold and silver and bronze swirl across this egg. Were it a dragon egg it might be assumed to contain a queen, but firelizard eggs are seldom so obvious...and besides, it is not from the clutch of a gold.
