Kalyna was dying? Tirlynna could not spare the time or the thought to consider that. Kilith, speaking to Reinth. The creche. KARLYN. Not that she thought the baby was in true danger, but she was close. She was very close, and she moved quickly through the lower caverns. Her belt knife was drawn and rested against the inside of her arm, where, hopefully, the assailant would not see it until it was too late. If she was lucky, he would see only a woman...not a highly trained rider. Even some riders had that particular blind spot, and if he was a spy for the Council, he was even more likely to possess it. The creche. She moved into it in the same easy pattern. She would not allow ANY of the children here to be harmed. OOC: Anyone want to join her?

In the creche before Tirylnna even reached it nine firelizard appered in it and settled near the door, ready to attack in the assaissan came through the door. They all knew what the killer looked like and so anyone else would only recieve an angry hiss. Diamond and Topaz though found a spot close to where Karlyn was so that they could wacth over her directly. None of them would let anyone hurt any of the childern. Yet of course they all knew that very soon back up would arrive, Purth had sent them ahead knowing that they could indeed arrive here before anyone else.
Purth had literally pushed his rider right of the bed, though it ended up not being needed sinice Bamre was practically awake anyway. A message form Hexeth had filled his mind and woke him up. Like his brother his pain and sadness was as obvious as his anger. The queen who had given him his beatiful Purth was now dying, and form what he knew there was nothing he could do, but at least he could try and protect Karlyn liked the weyrwomen wished. So he was soon out of his bed with his knives in hand and was heading towards the creche with Purth in tow. The white dragon planed on going as far as he could, though Bamre was sure that it would be possiable for the dragon to reach the door and be able to guard it.
He eventually saw Tirlynna ahead of him and called out, "Are you heading to the creche too! Tell Dawn and Clay to go ahead and join my flits there." He knew that she probably was heading in the direction of the creche aslo, scinie she had indeed hurried out of there weyr so quickly. All he knew is that they had to get there soon, sinice the was still a chance.

"I'm trying. They're all of a tizzy...the entire Weyr is."
They were down to one gold now, and an ebony. Could an ebony lay another gold? Well, if all else failed...
Tirlynna was far, far from above the idea of some retaliation on the High Council. If they ever had a gold egg, well, maybe it would just vanish from their Hatching grounds one day.
She would not have considered that if she was not so angry, but she wanted to kill somebody. Wanted to hurt them, to hurt them as bad as these people would hurt her brother. Would hurt her Weyr.
Reinth, of course, could not be a queen. Was not a queen, she was Reinth, the first rainbow, would be remembered as such. "Come on." She was still striding through the creche, giving little more in the way of words to her weyrmate.

Bamre kept running along side his weyrmates as his eyes kept scanning around, trying to see if he caught a glismp of the killer anywhere. Becuase if he did, he planned to try and end it here and now. Of course if one looked before the two riders, they would indeed noticed the white dragon was also quite unhappy with the siutation that was going on. His eyes where red, ready to shread to peices those who dared to kill his clucthmother's bonded, or her offspring. The white dragon had contimplated going back in time to the exact moment where this killing accored, and stoping it by murdering this man..... in fact that did not sound like a bad idea. Yet he desmissed it till later.
Bamre looked over and asked Trylinna, "It is not far is it, maybe Renith can come too. I am sure if Purth can get close she can too.... not much size diffrance really. Plus two dragons could guard better than one." He was not sure if that would work, but trying to get Reinth as close as possiable would be good. It would give any killers a harder avenue of attack. Plus it would just put Renith out of reach of the man's green.... they didn't need another dragon getting hurt. Though soon the entrance to creche was reached, at which the white dragon quickly posted himself outside. Yet at the moment forgetting he needed to let the riders inside.

"Ahem. Purth. You barely fit as it is, I certainly can't squeeze past you."
She glanced at Bamre. "Reinth AND Purth will never fit in here. She's well positioned, don't worry."
Although she had to be careful...not that the Weyr could survive if Reinth was the only clutching dragon. One at a time every other turn or so? Not going to happen...even if she upped her frequency, her small reproductive tract could, surely, not hold any kind of large clutch.
Focus. As soon as Purth moved his bulk, she rolled into the creche past him, coming up on her feet, knives drawn. If it scared the children, so be it, but there might already be a killer in here.
They could not assume there was only ONE assassin.

Purth spoke apoligiticly to Tirlynna saying, Sorry Tirlynna I will move... The white stepped the side long egough for both of the riders to enter before he blocked the entrance again, gald to know that now nobody could get in or out without getting past him. This was diffently a sure way to keep the killer who would not have the help of his dragon in this small corrider. Bamre looked over at Tirlynna and shrugged when he said, "I was simply talking about moving her close to here, not exactlly all the way here." Yet Renith was probably fine where she was. That still did not mean Bamre would not worry about her.
When the two riders would walk into the creche all the firelizards that had arrived there eailer would greet the pair with hiss. Even though it was there own pet, the fair was still on edge, becuase they where just trying to make sure that the murder did not hurt any of the childern that where in here. Purth claimed them down saying, Don't worry little ones I am here now. You don't need to worry. Of course the ones that where near the door could see Purth on the outside of it.
The white rider like his weyrmate had his knifes drawn and was indeed looking around, pretty sure that there was probably a second assassain. He did not think that the conciual would be so wherry brained as to not have a back up plan. Yet that was just what he was hoping had happened. He did not want to risk any of the childerns lifes by maybe having to fight someone in here, or worse..... a hostage type situation.

Tirlynna was, for her part, looking around for her niece. Relief flowed through her to see the mute girl safe.
Safe for now. But there might be those who would...the Weyr was going to be in disarray. C'lyn, knowing his days as Weyrleader were numbered, likely to last only until the young gold flew. Kilith was bound very tightly to Malaracyth. He might not put in the effort for another queen.
Kelyna, dying. Malaracyth, dying. And nothing she could do but harden her heart against it...she might not be a weyrwoman, or fly in the queen's wing, but she was somebody the Weyr looked to, the first of the rainbow riders, rider of a clutching dragon.
Her brother might not be able to keep his strength through this. She had to do it for him.
