M'kar did not know what to do. He knew there was very little he *could* do.
He was only a firerider, and that ranked him, realistically, with the greens. Maybe the sapphires. He was a young rider, too, not long out of weyrlinghood. He had never been trained as a guard.
All of that made him ill suited to seek revenge, and besides, said revenge belonged rightfully to the Weyrleader, who had not left his weyr since Kelyna's death.
Not mourning, M'kar suspected. Plotting. Planning. But he did hope the bronzerider would not do anything stupid. Then again, if he had a weyrmate...would he not feel the same way? If he managed to get one of the cute male greenriders into his bed, and then something happened to him?
Kelyna. She had been nothing to him but The Weyrwoman, everything capitalized. But that did not matter. What mattered was that crimes against dragonkind had been committed. What mattered was that somebody had killed a queen.
And a queen was to be mourned, and M'rak sat between his dragon's forepaws, leaning against the brilliant red and gold hide.

A dark green firelizard just happen to be flying by when she noticed the sulking fire rider. Now that wasn't right... everyone needed someone to mourn with. Or at least that is what the green thought that the other was doing. So she flew down and landed right in front of M'kar and chirped up at him. Leaf wanted to see if he was alright, though he wasn't her pet and so she wanted And'l to come aslo. She sent for him and the instant he received the image. He always took care of his friends and M'kar had been one in weyrlinghood... and even weyrmate potienal at that point in time. Though he didn't talk to the fire rider much... he still considered the other a friend.
The shappire riders dragon Hexeth appered around the conor before her rider did and said to both M'lar adn his dragon, Hello there you two... I hoped that you are both doing well today. She moved over to where they where and stood there in fornt of them and looked at the pair curiously, with colors of worry running through her eyes. And'l was not far behind, but he himself had been taken his time becuase he was thinking about what he needed to maybe say to the other to make him feel better.
And'l walked up to the other with a look of worry on his face... becuase he was indeed here to check on a friend. Though they did not talk to him much. That did not change things in And'l's mind. He sat down and Hexeth curled up around him before he spoke and then said, "Hey M'kar... is everything ok?" There was a hint of worry in his voice, plus he was hoping that there was not going to be any akwardness becuase of the past.....

Looking up from where he leaned against his dragon...bright in contrast to Hexeth's light blue, M'kar said simply, "I don't think any of us are alright right now."
Anyone who was would be likely to be in league with the assassin. But anyone who was that way would be taking great care to show the same grief and pain as everyone else at Allride. After this, anyone who was not loyal to the Weyr would...
Well, M'kar would, if he had his way, exile them. Not just back to the North, but to some place truly unpleasant. The irony that the western isles had long been said 'truly unpleasant place' did not escape him. But there had to be a worse place they could send people. Without descending to the level of killing.
Not that he would not kill, if he had to, to defend himself and his Fioreth.
