Most of the Weyr probably suspected that the reason why so little was seen of C'lyn was sheer grief for his weyrmate, his partner, his lover.
Indeed, he only left his weyr or his office to run drills, and while there, spoke nothing other than what he needed to. The rest of the time, he hid behind locked doors.
It was not grief, though, that drove him. It was anger. It was the desire for revenge. He closeted himself not because he was depressed but because he did not wish to end up taking out his emotions on some poor rider or other. Even his firelizard was avoiding him.
As for Kilith? His behavior matched his rider...curled on his ledge, speaking to nobody, not even chasing females.
Only when they had got some modicum of closure would they come out. Besides...C'lyn knew he would not be Weyrleader much longer...
