Sometimes it was good to get away, Uu’ian decided. Though the tense and sombre mood of the Weyr had its reasons, and indeed its purposes (and why wouldn’t people feel tense and sombre when so many had died so recently?), Uu’ian, being a naturally cheerful sort at heart, found it very hard to remain in that atmosphere all the time. So rather then offend people with a smile or a cheerful but offkey hum of some popular tune, Uu’ian tended to take his dragon and go down to the beach for a while to relax.
Currently the bronzerider had to admit he was not up to much, he was just stretched out on the warm sand, under a warm sun, leaning back in the curled tail of his dragon, who was also stretched out on the beach sand relaxing, although unlike Uu’ian the dragon had half his attention on the tag game that Uu’ian’s pair of firelizards were playing.

And'l had felt this need to get away also... but he had done so at a differnt time then his weyrmate and Shappire rider happened to be actually in the forest behind where the bronzepair was. The young man had seen his weyrmate and dragon come over and Hexeth had stayed really quite becuase the young man wanted to supirse the other male. Hexeth though sent a message to her brother, Tombath Mine is going to try and sneak up on yours.... don't let him know ok... She didn't want the bronze dragon to spoil the fun.
And'l krept out of the woods and headed in the direction of the pair. He then began to slowly climb up the bronzes back form the side of the forest and moved very slowly over the tail. If Tombath looked at him he would look in the direction of the bronze and put a finger to his lips and soon he was right up behind Uu'ian and this time though instead of puting his hands over his eyes he quickly leaned his face down in fornt of Uu'ian's saying, "Hello Love...." He then gave him a kiss on the lips before the other could even have a moment to speak.

Tombath lifted his head in response to Hexeth’s voice, although fortunately for the tricksters he at least cooperated enough not to look around and give the game away. Uu’ian felt the bronze shift, but only shifted his own body into a more comfortable position when he saw that Tombath was only watching the firelizards play. Tobath settled his head back down to his forelegs, realising that if he wasn’t careful, And’l would be discovered. The bronze wasn’t sure Uu’ian wanted to be snuck up on, but couldn’t very well ask, so he decided he might as well cooperate, and tried not to twitch as the sapphire rider climbed over his tail.
Uu’ian, lying around with his eyes half closed, was not at all expecting his view of the clouds to be eclipsed by his weyrmate’s face. His response would have been to yelp and leap away out of sheer statement, however that reaction was forestalled by And’l’s lips pressed against his, which muffled the surprised sound quite effectively. ‘Hello you.’ Uu’ian responded in an amused once he’d managed to get his breath back. ‘What brings you out here?’
Are you coming out now Hexeth? Tombath inquired, still not moving his head. I think Uu’ian has been sufficiently surprised now.

The young man slipped down the dragons tail and landed next to his weyrmate in the sand. And'l was very quick to cuddle up to the other male, and rest his head on the younger male's shoulder. This was one of those moments when he felt completely happy and content with the world. It was as though no one could bother him and nothing could make him unhappy. Plus once Hexeth was here then things would be prefect, "Well I came all the way out here to visit with you. I mean we have not had much alone time away form the weyr recently with all that has been happening, and when I found out where you and Tombath where going I just decided that it would be best if I followed. I mean I know Hexeth want's some time to be with her mate too."
Hexeth came out trees and was moving at a speed as though And'l's statment was the que to get her moving. She came up behind the bronze dragon saying, Hello there Tombath... how are you doing. The Shappire drapped her head over her weyrmates side and settled down while crooning softly. The doubts about Hexeth being female had long sense passed and she no longer thought about thinking of herself as a male... she was a Shappire, and happying to be one, becuase she got to be chased by her handsome Tombath.

Uu’ian wriggled over to make a little more room for his weyrmate, an action that was rendered totally redundant as soon as And’l settled beside him by the bronzerider rearranging himself to lean against his mate. ‘That’s true. I just don’t feel I can relax in the Weyr at the moment. Everything’s too tense. I’m glad you followed us, I’ve missed this.’ Uu’ian meant he missed the moments of just relaxing with his weyrmate and their dragons, they never seemed to have enough time for that recently, recently they never seemed to have enough time for anything.
Tombath emitted a low croon and stretched out his neck to nuzzle his mate as soon as he could reach, evident as pleased to see Hexeth as Uu’ian was glad to see her rider. I always do better for spending tome with you Hexeth. I. Too, am glad you followed us, and not just for Uu’ian’s sake. The bronze looked down on the pair of riders curled in the curve of his tail with tolerant affection and slight dismay, he really wanted to wrap his tail around his mate but they’d be so upset if he dropped them on the floor by reclaiming it.
Forgetting the matter of his tail for the moment (the humans were bound to move eventually) Tombath turned his attention back to Hexeth. Uu’ian is feeling much better for being down here. I hope you and yours are too. The bronze commented, neglecting to mention that the current atmosphere of the Weyr also depressed him. All that sorrow and pain feeding back to everyone. Small wonder Uu’ian wanted to leave it behind.
For the moment Uu’ian didn’t speak any more, content to just lie with And’l snuggled against him, his face buried against his weyrmate’s hair. He was happy, Tombath was happy, And’l and Hexeth seemed to be happy, that was enough for him for a few moments.
