We where chosen to be Caretakers of the the Realms. To protect the people and nourish the lands. In times long pass, and gifted by Jewels by forgotten gifters, we have grown and flourished. Like the people and like the lands. Long has it been since the Blood has walked all the Realms. Long has it been that we have forgotten what it meant to be Blood. As if through the Abyss that houses our strength, this feeling of forgetting what it means to be what we are, can be felt. We no longer care for the people, we “rule”. We no longer nourish the lands, we “claim”. Have we all become so blind to what we are doing? Are we so deaf as to not hear what is being spoken so loudly through our connection to the Abyss and lands? ...Have we forgotten our true purpose? I believe we have ,and soon we will pay for it. I see it in my web, and know it in my heart.

Beware the veil that can cloud your heart. Beware the punishment that all will receive in order to remember. The Darkness can be merciful, but it can also be vengeful. What was given can be taken away.... You doubt? I sure hope you don't. I truly hope for your sake and for all the Realms you don't. The signs will be small, but will grow. Sadly, by that time you won't know the reason. Or those who do, will only know something is wrong within their hearts and connection to people, land, and the wonderful Darkness. Those who feel this, must let it guide them. It will be the hope to restore what has been lost.

Welcome to the world of the Blood. Shadow's Embrace is an original Black Jewels role playing forum, based on the world and people of Anne Bishop. We pride ourselves on being considered an Intermediate to Advanced Literate, Forum. There are many open positions, all are welcome to have a look.

A setting in which the Blood are forgetting their true purpose. Queens are becoming rare, there is barely enough to take the place as Territory ruler. In their stead Warlord Princes are taking control, and with them Protocol is being lost. Only a few hold to those ways, those few may bring back what it means to be Blood.

Here at Shadow's Embrace we have no true “main plot”, a setting and history, yes. We want our Members to have fun, to bring in different perspectives from different characters. Will your character bring the Realms back to their former glory? Or will they be the downfall? Will your character have morals and honor? Or greed and ambition? Yes we are focused on the character, not the Jewels. Jewels are power and standing, but it's the character themselves who make the world. Who takes the steps into forming what could be a major change in the Realms.

There is always room for expansion, nothing is set. Will you join us and be part of the change?
