Name: C'lyn
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Wingleader
Family: C'tir, father, bronzerider. Lynrette, mother, journeywoman starcrafter, sister, Tirlynna, 16
Pets:
Blue firelizard Azure - Azure is a brilliant blue in color, even over his form, which is on the small side for his color. His wings are a little too long, he has good straight line speed, but does not always turn well. Azure is almost always to be found with his owner...he is far too lazy to go anywhere, and thus is not all that useful except as a shoulder ornament that moves only for food or a pretty green.
Speckled firelizard Happy
Color: speckled (infertile flit)
size: about the size of a brown
appearance: He is gray with speckles of the five original colors on his body. He has a delicate build to his brown sized body with small bones.
Personality: He can always find something to be hppy about. This flit can't stay sad for more than five seconds (five seconds is also about his attention span). He loves his,and he is always to be found somewhere near his. He gets into everything and somehow comes out fine on the other end. He loves to make people laugh and to make people happy.
Physical Appearance:
C'lyn is not the archetypal hunky bronzerider for whom girls swoon...he is a little too short and too slight for that. His hair is a rich dark brown and that kind of curly that looks like it's never seen a comb. His best feature is his startling, emerald green eyes. The rest of his face is on the very verge of handsome, without quite reaching it. He has a fondness for the color green, often picking clothing to compliment his eyes. He has a very pleasant voice, light yet rich, although it shows no sign of harper training (in fact, he can't carry a tune in a bucket).
Personality:
C'lyn's father was a bronzerider, and that father expected his son to be the same, but despaired of it. As clutches shrank and became rarer, the man fell into depression, convinced that dragonkind was about to become extinct. Quite naturally, C'lyn reacted to this. His reaction was to become an optimist. Dragons would not completely die out, could not. Secretly, he did not fear the idea of the return of Thread...no...he hoped for it. Relished it.
Although C'lyn may not look like the archetypal bronzerider, he has many of the traits...courage, a knack for leadership and a tendency to flirt with anything with breasts. Impressing a bronze was his due, and what felt right, he could not imagine himself as anyone else, leading any other life. He is, in fact, completely and utterly content and thoroughly believes in himself. This can make him appear arrogant at times, but thankfully, he is self confident enough that he does not throw his weight around. He is secure enough to be willing to socialize with anyone. His faith in the return of Thread is equally unshakable...but what will he do if it does not come back?
History: (Two paragraphs min)
It started with a love, between a bronzerider, C'tir, and a journeywoman starcrafter, Lynrette. This love, of course, happened at an observatory, on the southern continent. Riders have always maintained the tradition of not marrying, but the relation between C'tir and Lynrette is strong and long lasting. Between them they birthed three children. Corlyn, a second son, Lyntir, who never drew a breath, and then years later a daughter, Tirlynna.
C'tir raised Corlyn with pride in being a bronzerider's son, which meant something, he felt, even in this day and age. Lynrette taught him to observe the stars, and indeed, Corlyn decided early that should he never Impress, he would be a starcrafter.
For a while, it seemed that he would not. He became a candidate at thirteen, and stayed for four years at the community weyr hold. Irony was to take over, though.
It was C'tir's bronze, Lorlath, who flew the resident gold that year, much to Lynrette's jealousy, although she got over it, as she had before. Six eggs were laid. The third to hatch proved to be a bronze, a bronze who went straight for Corlyn. Corlyn became C'lyn, rider to Kylith, at the age of seventeen. When he graduated a turn or so later, he went back to the observatory to work with his parents. However, Lynrette had noticed something odd.
The Red Star might have moved. Might be coming closer. When her mate laughed her off, she confided in her son. C'lyn seized on it. Thread coming back would be a disaster...but the salvation of dragonkind. Still...even if it was, it was years away, and what could an eighteen year old bronzerider do?
Years passed. C'lyn learned more about starcrafting, it seemed to make sense to know it himself. He visited the community weyr holds. Kylith flew a few greens, but never, yet a gold...then again, they were down to four golds. And now three of them had proved infertile.
He feared his father was right. There was only one hope. A young gold and a very young rider. A young rider who had independently come to the same conclusion his mother had. Thread was coming back.
When Kelyna asked for people to form a new Weyr, on the western continent, he went there, taking with him his sister, Tirlynna, in the hope that the gold would be fertile and the girl a suitable candidate. And to his shock, his Kylith flew her Malaracyth, and she declared that by revived tradition...
...he was weyrleader of Allride Weyr.

Dragon name: Kylith
Dragon color: Bronze
Dragon age: 7 turns
Appearance:
Kylith is a large, large bronze, one of the largest on Pern. He is of medium color, shading almost to gold on the wingsails and tinted with green along his ridge. He is a well proportioned dragon, although his tail is perhaps a tiny bit long and his wings a tiny bit short.
Personality:
Kylith is perhaps the least arrogant bronze ever to be shelled. He is open, approachable and friendly to dragons and humans alike. He will greet total strangers with a soft croon and a lowered head. He is, however, still a bronze. He flirts with the greens and golds and he expects to be In Charge in a crisis...and indeed, does so well.
