Lol, I'm Foxtrot, or Amber, or really just Fox works. I think you can keep your characters, Yamamoto; all the Allride riders didn't die, some survived. Haha, Lysita, I think Hailee and her weyrholdleader (whatever y'call him) don't always get along anyways.  I, also, agree with having a firelizard limit. I think there could be a possibility for winning more through contests or something, and I also agree that each one should be played at least once a week, or the character starts losing them. Otherwise, the Weyr is full of firelizards, and I would think it might be difficult for a rider to take care of his dragon and a huge fair or firelizards. |

Ok, all characters that already have firelizards will have them grandfathered onto the new site. Three firelizards will be allowed per character. A user can earn up to two more in contests. A user must play their firelizards once a week, and any that aren't played will fly away. The limit helps prevent posts from becoming all about the firelizards when the dragons should be more written about. Firelizards need things like feeding and oiling like a dragon. A character who will never ride a dragon or handle a wher can have four firelizards. Also, Lysita, can you put a face claim on the template? Otherwise it looks great. |

Oh wow...  Yeah I am going to have to think long and hard about wethier or not I am coming back to the new site. Though if I don't I really don't want my charaters killed or given away... they can just be there in the background kind of if you get what I mean. This really puts a bummer on my plan to have Andol have one of every firelizard also |

There can be a PB place on the template, sure. But there would also have to be a face claim thread, completely separate. A place where all of them can be listed, but it would be up to the player to put the claim in, but only after the character is accepted. Of course, we all know that not everyone is going to use a pic, so in those cases it would be redundant, but at least it'll be there for those that do want to use pics.
As for having one of every colour Yama, that is highly unrealistic. Menolly was a special case in that area, she was the only one to ever have that many. Besides, you'd be bound to get more then one of a colour at some point, no matter how much you don't want to. It's the firelizard's choice after all.

Hi Lysita! Mhmm, the face claim thread would be essential since you wouldn't want people running around claiming the same face. There could be an option for reserving a face for three days while they work on their application, so they don't have to worry about that specific face disappearing during that time; then the reserve could be switched to permanent after they are accepted. And play-bys could be optional, I like that idea. Sometimes it's hard to match a face to a character you've created in your head.  I have to agree wholeheartedly here, it is pretty unrealistic for a character to get every single color of firelizard, especially with fire lizard mutations available. |

Well I'm glad someone agrees with me on that respect. I hope you'll join us on the new site Fox, I think you could be a great asset. Not only for opinions and view, but possibly for plot ideas and such, as well as possibly being a valuable player. |

Well don't worry Lystia I have ways around it anyway... I can just never play Bamre and always have Bamre's flit's hang out with And'l... wethier or not you think it is unrealistic is not my problem and not my concern... it is how I am going to play my charaters...  ] Besides I never play Bamre anyway, but I am not about to kill off the whiterider |

Lol, yep, I'll be joining the new site, I believe, Lysita! Thank you! I love coming up with plots and whatnot, and I do love writing. But Yamamoto, Bamre's flits are attached to him, not And'l. Therefore, even playing them with And'l wouldn't save them; if I understand the new rule correctly, the firelizard count is attached to the character, not the player. Therefore you would have to play Bamre and each of his nine firelizards every week in order to keep them, and And'l could still only have up to five. I'm also not sure why all of Bamre's flits would stay around And'l, anyways. And I don't really understand keeping around a character if you're not going to play him; also, wouldn't that character be phased out during an activity check? |

Welcome, Foxtrot!  I think that Bamre could keep all his flitts, since it's an established fact that flitts like White dragons. But besides that the limit is a good idea. I always forget to play my character's flitts myself. Here's a question: will we be allowed to kill off some characters if we want? I think I'd like to get rid of a couple of mine who I don't have muse for anymore, maybe to make room for someone new. |

Hi, I'm Erin (aka Sierra), not Franny...I'm her older sister, and I'm logged on to her account because I've been going through old skins, etc., helping her decide on graphics/colors for the new site. So basically, staying logged in as her so I don't have to bother her for passwords and whatnot again.
Anyways, since I've been talking about this a lot with her...you can definitely keep any flits you already have, thus being "grandfathered" in. It is only if you want to make any more flits that the new rule will apply.
As for killing off characters, I'm sure that will be fine; killing off a character is always your choice when it is your own. If your character is super important to the plot, we may ask if you're willing to put it up for adoption, but since the plot is being transferred to a new board, I suspect we could easily work the killing-off of an important character in to the overall plot.
These changes aren't meant to aggravate anyone, but mainly to tighten up some of the loose ends, clean the plot up a bit, and attract some new members to an easy-to-understand, easy-to-navigate board. Please keep telling Franny your opinions, they are important! But keep in mind that she is the admin, and sometimes she has to make decisions that won't please everyone, but might be best for the board in the long run. She's doing her best to compromise though. So bear with us, and we can promise the new board will definitely be awesome!

There is another thing I'd like to suggest.
Giving people the chance to drop characters during an activity check. Whether it be by killing them, putting them up for adoption, or retiring them to possibly bring back later. Either way, it might take some of the pressure off RPing and character numbers, if there was a frequent chance to be able to drop characters, that doesn't have to do with plots or RPing it out.

I definitely think that's a good idea (Sierra here again). Most boards I've been on an activity check happens once a month, and it's a good way for both admins and writers to clear out the dead-in-the-water characters. So I vote yes on that one |

Heck yeah! I definitely like that idea, and I also really like the idea of being to just sort of "shelve" the character for a while and then pick them back up again, as long as they're not super essential to the plot. |

They would stay around And'l becuase that is somthing they kind of already do... :S I mean And'l and Bamre are brothers and very close at that so the firelizards show a certian amount of protectiveness towards And'l sinice Bamre is a proctetive older brother Plus I really don't have the muse to RP Bamre, but I have the muse to RP his dragon, and frankly Purth is a dragon I really don't want to lose Becuase I have never before or sense had a white dragon to RP with much So I want to keep him, and be able to keep all the firelizards, but my muse when it comes to playing as Bamre's charater just is not there. The reason for this in itself is kind of complex... and I don't want to talk about here. That was all I am sorry if I sounded like ass Foxtrot |
