I've mentioned it, and coming up I will have some short stories to go along with. It will involve our infamous assassin, and a new character, who you will meet as the center of the story I weave. Part of what this idea involves is a massive cleanup of the site, where all the old threads are placed into an archives folder. All old adoptable characters that have not been adopted are killed. The old weyr would be destroyed, along with the hold, though the harbor would survive. The surviving Allridians would then create a new weyr in hiding (they would be true renegades with no support from a hold), though it would still be at this same board. Some other things would be involved if everyone likes this plot idea, but that is the basic idea of it.
If other people have ideas, please state them, if people like this idea, I might also be able to include side ideas into it. I can also change portions of it as people like...

It sounds like a good transition to get the site more active again, and it would also work well with the small amount of PC characters we have.
Maybe we could tie in the clutch somehow, like a lot of eggs are destroyed but a few are saved. or maybe they could even start hatching during the disaster.

Can everyone help think up names for the renegade group that survives? My ideas so far are: Allride Hidden Allride Renegade Renegade Weyr

Um...Allride Haven?
Here's an idea. On the Advertise Your Weyr board (do we have an ad there?), there's a place to ask for specific plot characters. We could think of some adoptable plot characters, and post them there. It might attract some new members.

ok, What do you guys think of moving to a new, more professional looking board on Invision Free? Everything would move, and it could be part of the whole thing of Allride being destroyed by the high council.

I'm all for Invisionfree, I think it's much better than PB.

I agree with Bookworm.
Although might I add that it might also help to have a more up to date template for characters, with coding. I could easily come up with something if you'd like.

A new character template would be great, I am making the new site, and working on the coding right now. I have some friends helping me with the add, and some other parts like making the plot easier to understand to new members.

Would you like me to do the character template then?

Thread is a myth and a lie.
Or so the members of the High Council would have the people of Pern believe.. It has been a thousand Turns since the last strand of the devastatingly simple yet dangerous Thread was seen on Pern, and weyrs have become obsolete.. Holders moved into the empty weyrs, taking over the spaces left by dragons; these new mixtures of hold and weyr became known as weyrholds. A remnant of dragons and riders remained, stubbornly continuing to exist despite the fact that their primary mission had been completed. They found new occupations, and many find it hard to believe that dragons weren’t always used as transportation and running messages, among other things.
Power became concentrated over time until a single ruling faction rose to guide the people of Pern: the High Council. A faction made up of high level riders, crafters and holds, these are the people who gained control over Pern. Eventually they began to rule over Pern with an oligarchic iron grip. The gold riders grew to be particularly influential with the other members, and it is an accepted belief among them that Thread is never coming back. That idea became entrenched in the minds of the many, making the fear of Thread into a farce.
In more recent Turns, the number of golds in Pern had dwindled to a mere six. The two youngest gold riders refused to join their elders on the Council, Hailee out of a need for independence and Kelyna because of her deep-seated belief that Thread would return. Kelyna and two bronze riders C'lyn of Kylith and F'mar of Antagyth decided that they would break with the High Council and establish a traditional Weyr. They fled the main continent and created a Weyr on the Western Continent, where they remained for eight Turns.
Displeased with the rebellion, the High Council attempted negotiations with the “upstarts,” who had decided to call themselves Allride Weyr, to promote the idea that everyone who wished would be given the chance to Stand at least once. Allride flourished and grew with a clutching queen to lead it, and three years ago, the first clutch was laid. The High Council’s disgust grew exponentially when mutations were born of the clutch and became prominent at the young Weyr. It was agreed in secret that they would do whatever they could to exterminate this threat to the integrity of their governing force, seeing how Allride might “corrupt” other dragonriders into following them.
While Allride grew and taught itself to fight the imminent Threadfall that they believed in, the High Council groomed a bronze dragon rider to fight for them. First he was sent as a spy and then an assassin into their ranks; his quick hands made short work of Kelyna, killing the Weyrwoman and throwing the Weyr into a panic. However, the Weyr did not cease to exist, and the young gold rider Lysita became Weyrwoman. The High Council decided that the threat had to end, and therefore allotted their dragon rider a wing to himself, composed of riders utterly loyal to the High Council and the purity of the dragon bloodlines.
The High Council Wing was sent to destroy Allride, taking mercenaries with them, and it did its job well. Only 1/4th of the weyrfolk and dragonriders survived, escaping to a tropical island in the West. They have only been there two months, and recently they have been joined by the other young gold rider, Hailee, and her retinue, including her hot-headed, disagreeable bronze rider. Tensions are rising between the remaining Allride riders and weyrfolk and the weyrfolk and riders of Hailee’s weyrhold. The future is uncertain at newly named Defiance Weyr, and all is at stake as the time for Threadfall approaches.
What We Are -Non-Canon -Active -Friendly -Invision Free -No Word Count -An Altered Continuation of an Older Board
What We Offer -an evolving plotline with lots of current & future possibilities such as: Threadfall, invading enemy forces, tension between weyrleaders/weyrwomen, rogue island beasts, wild dragons, island habitants, etc. And we’re open to suggestions and creativity, so your input would be important and affect the direction of the site. -non-standard colors, and therefore more possibilities for various types of riders -high level positions such as Wing Leaders, Wing Seconds, Headwoman, Head Healer -site cannons and wanted characters -A clutch of fourteen eggs on the sands, though there is no guarantee of Impressing
What We Would Like to See -Everything and everyone! We’re a brand new revamping/extension of an older site that would love to have a plethora of new characters come in. Please, bring your blue riders, harpers, metal crafters, star gazers, ex-thieves, weyr brats, bronze riders, etc.! ---Candidates---BOTH MALE AND FEMALE
(credit to Amber for rewriting plot)
Do you guys like it? Some things have been changed, like there is another golf rider that was originally on Pern, the assassin is now a bronze rider, and community weyrs and weyrholds have been combined into weyrholds.

I like it, although it'll mean Hailee and Lysita will have to have a united front with that hot-head of a bronzerider. Which I would hope wouldn't be a problem. Yet it would also mean we'd need to get the clutch actually sorted, no more dawdling with it. And, here is my template suggestion: [center(proboards][/align(invisionfree)][/center(proboards)]
Name: Age: Sexuality: Rank: (Including craft rank, but not the actual craft) Craft: (If applicable)
Appearance: (Picture does not count, two paragraphs minimum)
Likes: (At least 5)
Dislikes: (At least 5)
Fears: (At least 2)
Goals: (At least 2)
Personality: (Two paragraphs minimum, can incorporate the four previous sections, minus goals)
History: (As long or as short as needed.)
FOR CANDIDATES (Delete as necessary)
Top pick in colour, and why: Bottom pick in colour, and why: Mauling?: (Yes or No, and how bad) Mutations? (Non canon colours and physical/mental mutations) Cross impression?: (a female getting a male dragon and vice versa)
FOR RIDERS (Delete as necessary)
Dragon Name: Age: Colour: Size: (how big is it for that colour) Rank: (Weyrling, wingrider, wingsecond, etc)
Appearance:
Personality:
PETS (Delete if necessary)
Name: Species: Colour:
Appearance: (Optional)
Personality:
(repeat pet template for each pet) Might I also suggest limiting the amount of firelizards each character can have to something more sensible, like four. And that they need to be played at least once a week or one will be removed/killed off.

Hey no... if you limit the number of firelizard then that is no fun I want to eventually get And'l the same amount of firelizards as Bamre... Sinice Andol has though other firelizards he will be able to have more than his brother
