Bamre just looked at his friend A'cher thinking in his mind So he has loss someone to. He looked at A'cher and said to him " My friend I am sorry that happened to you." Bamre stoped there he could not think of anything else to say. He was just not as good at consloeing people as Purth was. The little white said to A'cher Do not worry A'cher. That is in the past now. You have Halsningath now and he needs you and is with. So there is no need to be sad. Bamre's flits Emerald and Diamond flew over and land on A'cher. Diamond sat on his shoulders and rubbed his head angist the boys cheek to cromfort him and Emerald landed on his back and chriped at him soothingly and and sent him soothing images.

"My friend I am sorry that happened to you."

A'cher had been staring at the floor, feeling not only depressed, but rather foolish until Bamre had responded with genuine care. The boy looked up and replied, "No, don't be. Things just happen like that, I guess." He turned to Purth as the tiny dragonet spoke, and smiled a bit at the end. His own dragon mindspoke agreement to him, Purth is right, A'chermine, as he usually is. You have your Halsningath to take care of, now, and your Halsningath loves you very much!

Just then, A'cher felt a light breeze against his face as Diamond fluttered over to his shoulder, and as Emerald clung to the back of his shirt. The weight of the two flits was comforting, just as their gentle songs and thoughts. The boy reached around absent mindedly to finger the little Green's wing membrane gently, wondering at the smooth surface. He knew that Bind, had she actually been with him, rather than off who knew where doing who knew what, wouldn't have let him do that. The differences between sisters from even the same clutch were amazing. But then, he thought wryly, I should know that from Renth and Haith. Though both were regal little things, carrying themselves around with such dignity, Haith was so gentle and calm and lovely, and Renth was so.... Not. Really, that was the only way he could think to put it. Halsningath picked up on the thought, and said, That is right, Mine. Renth and Hers are not very friendly. Haith and her Zenniel are much more pleasant.

The young man was mildly suprised that the Brown had used Zenniel's name. He hadn't really known that his Brown was fond of her. A'cher pulled himself out of his thoughts and back into the room. He shooed the firelizards off of him, and said, "Thank you, Bamre, Purth." Then, with a glance at Emerald and Diamond, he said, "My thanks to you, too. Both of you look quite lovely." By then, the light was returning to the boy's eyes. He let one hand drop to rest on Halsningath.

Emerald flew back and landed on Bamre, but Diamond when A'cher tried to shoo her she hissed at him and just clung thighter to his shoulders. Bamre luaghed at this and siad to A'cher " My friend let me give you some advice about Diamond. You don't shoo her without getting hurt. It is best to just let her sit there. If you that then she is quite a nice loving firelizard." Purth looked up at Bamre and said to him It looks like you are filling a lot better now Mine. Bamre smiled at the little white and said Yeah Purth I think I am feeling better now.

Tirlynna had been mostly listening and scritching Reinth. "I want a firelizard. I've had the most rotten luck with eggs." She winked at Bamre. "If I don't have one by the time Diamond clutches, I'll trade something with you for one?" she asked.

The firelizards had not been affected by the mutations, she mused, at least not yet.

[Yamamoto]

Bamre looked over at Tirlyanna and said to her " I think I could do that, but I will give you one for free. Yet you have to remember I get first choice becuase I am trying to get one of each color of the firelizards. Once that happens I will let everyone have what is left over. Presonally I hope the firelizards are affected by the muitations"

A'cher couldn't help but laugh as well. The shiny little flit certainly seemed to think she was in charge, and appartenly, she was. Laughter was the best medicine, it would seem, since both he and Bamre seemed to be back to normal. He took a slow, slightly jerking step to let Diamond know he was moving, then ambled over to his bed and sat down, pulling his knees up and sitting cross-legged. Halsningath followed, stretching himself over the cool stone flooring contentedly. The two listened as Tirlynna asked Bamre about a flit egg, and as Bamre responded about wanting one of every color, and hoping for mutations, A'cher found himself comfortable enough to say, "Mutation flits, that would be nice. A miniature Reinth would be pretty."

Talk of mutations in firelizards reminded the young man of the actual mutations. Like the Copper and Sapphire. And Reinth and Renth. Of course they would all fly, but would any of them Clutch? It would be interesting to see how they were different from the dragons to come before.

[Yamamoto]

Bamre luaghed at this thought and said " Yes it would be nice. I wonder what a white firelizard would look like. Ethier way don't get any ideas. Becuase I know what sliver, ebony and rainbow eggs look like so if there is not more than one of each I am adding them to my own fair. Beyond that I am still trying to decide who gets Diamonds gold she will lay becuase she is a rather big golden firelizard so I guess her clucth might be big aslo."

Tirlynna hrmed. "She still probably won't lay a gold every clutch. I don't know that I want a gold anyway...I wouldn't mind stealing a regular egg, though. Golds just have egos."

She made a great show of ducking away from Diamond, in case she was insulted.

[Yamamoto]

Bamre just shrugged and said " I think she will though, but who knows. I problery will only give the gold away to someone who can give me something, but the others will be free. That is after I have one of each color. After that I will give you two eggs if you want Tirlynna." After hearing Tirlynna's comment she turned and hissed at her and then flew over and landed on her pets shoulder and clung to him possievely. Bamre laugh and said " Yeah and you could always end up with a gold as possieve as Diamond. Yet I presonally I away found it flattering."

Tirlynna laughed. "Honestly, I'd probably rather have a male lizard. Imagine having a female lizard and a female dragon and having them -both get proddy at once-."

[Yamamoto]

Bamre looked at Tirlyanna and siad " That should not be to hard I will save you a egg that was about the size of Irons so that way you are assured of getting a male. Ethier a brown or a large blue."

Tirlynna nodded. "Well, assuming sapphires and coppers don't turn up in firelizards." She considered. "A silver firelizard would be -so- pretty."

Reinth nudged her. What about a rainbow one?

Tirlynna laughed. "But a rainbow would take away from you, my dear."

[Yamamoto]

Bamre smiled at the thought of a rainbow firelizard and siad " Yeah well I personally would love to have a rainbow firelizard. I think it would be so cute and slivers would be nice aslo. I have always wanted a firelizard that was bigger than Diamond. Even though she is very large for a queen firelizard."

Tirlynna hrmed. "You'd need an ebony for that, I think." She grinned. "I still think small is better. I was so relieved when the gold picked somebody else."

Zenniel would be a fine weyrwoman. She was happy with her -small- dragon.

Bamre smiled and siad " I would enjoy a ebony firelizrad. It would be nice to have a firelizrad that is that large." He thought and said " I only think smaller is better when it comes to dragons. It's the oppiste for firelizards."
