Andol sat in the cadidate barracks on his bed. He was very glad that there was no one around. He was clucthing Leaf to his chest becuase she was the only think that made him cromfrotable. He then looked at Leaf and siad " My dear at least my brother is here. Though it is very scary." Leaf then chriped at him and rubbed her head agnist his chest and looked at him reasurringly. Andol then looked around and he sighed.

Aphrodie spotted the new boy in the barracks primarily because Ocean spotted Leaf.
The aqua firelizard launched from the girl's shoulder to flit over. A moment later, Aphrodie's own green, Shimi followed.
So did Aphrodie's eyes. "Oh, hey!" she called, cheerfully, heading over.
Why did he look so familiar?

Andol saw the little flit come past him. It looked quite odd. He had never seen one like that. Then he saw the green one. He siad to them quitly "Hello." Leaf chriped at them. Though Andol started to get neverous becuase usally were there where flits that did not seem wild there was there owner. He then heard Aphrodie and he turned around slowly and looked at her and he was visably pale becuase he was scared. He then turned back around. Then all of a sudden Iron appeared above Andol and settled on his shoulder and chriped at him and Andol sighed and siad " Oh hello Iron." He reached up and began to scrath his head then he turned around has both Leaf and Iron chriped at him reasurringly and he siad to Aphrodie neverously " He-ll-o. Wh-at i-s yo-ur na-me?" He was poking his fingers togther and looking at the bed.

Aphrodie studied Andol. Then Leaf. Then...Iron showed up.
She blurted. "Are you Bamre's brother?"
There was a resemblance, she could see it now. Ocean chirped cheerfully to Iron whilst Shimi regarded the slightly larger green with interest. You could see the cogs turning...slowly.

Andol just countied to sit there poking his fingers together as he answered her " Yes he is my older brother. My name is Andol." He then looked at her and began to grow axnious and he reached out and poked her on the nose and then pulled his hand away and siad " Sorry I have to do that to everyone I meet or I get very very anxious. I don't know why I just do." He hoped she was not mad. He let go of Leaf who walked over and settled beside Shimi and she regarded the smaller green with intrest and then chriped a greeting at her. He just sat there and sighed. He had decided when he came here to at least try and make friends with some of the people his brother had made friends with. This girl seemed nice so maybe there was no reason to be neverous. He then looked up and smiled abit though you could tell he was very very neverous. He was more shy than his brother was or had ever been for that matter.

Aphrodie laughed. "It's fine. We all have silliness." She wondered whether to mention the fact that she intended to wear odd socks to the hatching. "I'm Aphrodie, the green is Shimi, and the other one is Ocean. She's unique...we're calling her an aqua."
Ocean was clearly not a blue, at close inspection, even if she might be mistaken for an unusually large one at a distance. Shimi chittered, chirped and otherwise attempted to strike up a conversation with Leaf.

Andol just smiled a small bit and siad " Yeah I guess we do." Though it was not just people he poked dragons and somtimes firelizards. Speaking of which. He then reached out and poked both Ocean and Shimi on the nose. He then sat back filling a bit better. He then studied Ocean and siad " Yes I see now. So she is a new color. My brother would enjoy a new color firelizard. He has always had a thing for the little creatures. Though he only has Iron." Andol had not yet talked to his brother sinice he had got here. He then reached out a hand and Leaf dissapered and reappered with some fruit and dropped it into Andol's hand. Andol then started to eat it.

Aphrodie blinked. "You haven't seen him since you got here, have you."
Ocean perched on her shoulder, exceptionally long tail forming a necklace around her neck. "He has...let's see...a gold, a bronze, a brown, a burgundy, a blue and a green now. He's been collecting them. I blame his dragon. I just have these two here...and they're enough of a handful. Especially as they're sisters."

Andols eyes widened and he siad " Really that many." Then at that moment Iron flew up and dissapered and then reappered. Followed by the rest of the firelizards in Bamre's fair. Andol looked around as a lovely gold. Andol smiled at all the firelizards and siad " I see what you mean. Though I have not seen his dragon ethier becuase I missed wacthing the impressions even though I was supposed to." Andol had been to nervous to go. He looked at the Brrugendy and realized that it was a new color of firelizard aslo.

Aphrodie grinned. "We need to correct that. Purth is just gorgeous."
Ocean made an indignant sound. "Yes, almost as gorgeous as you." She hesitated. "Ocean's treated as a queen by the other firelizards."
If Andol wanted an egg when the time came, he'd definitely be getting one.

Andol luaghed abit at the Aqua's atics and siad " Yeah I would like to meet him. I am just gald my brother did impress." He sighed though becuase he knew that he never would. He then looked at the Aqua curiously and siad " So that makes her a type of queen firelizard if they treat her that way." He himself knew he needed to get more firelizards. At least he knew now where he could esialy get them. He then asked " I am not good at making friends really. I am very shy. Do you know who are the nicer people around here." He wanted to try and make friends with those people frist becuase those where the type of people his older brother would make friends with.

Aphrodie nodded. "It'll be a while before she flies...or Shimi...and I plan on making my hatchings open, but I'll make sure I invite you."
She considered that. "Tirlynna, the rainbow rider, she's nice. So's J'tor, he rides brown. And...hrm...the weyrwoman is nice, but very, very busy. Just avoid Maylina. She's..."
Aphrodie frowned. "I hate to speak ill of anyone, but she's a pregnant dog...and so is her dragon."

Andol just looked at her and said " Don't worry I am willing to wait. Beside I think Leaf might be flying soon anywy." He cuddled his beloved green flit closer. When she mention the names of the people he took mental note of them so he would know who to talk to. He then commited " I will remember to aviod her." He knew it was best to avoid such people because they were especially mean to people like him. Iron then flew up and dissapered and Andol said " Hmm I wonder were he is off too?"

Aphrodie wouldn't mind that...Bamre was a friend, although he'd probably never be more. She'd seen how he looked at the rainbow rider.
And they seemed to gel properly. Shame Purth wasn't a blue or a brown...but anyway.
"So, what color of dragon do you want?"

Bamre appered at the door with Purth in tow. He heard Aphrodie's question and he answered out loud " What he needs is a bronze or somthing to pull himself out of that shell he is still in." Purth calmly walked over and curled up around Andol and siad to him Hello my name is Purth. There is no reason to be shy. He then rubbed his head angist Andol's side. Bamre then came and sat next to Aphrodie and looked and siad to Andol's green flit " Hello Leaf." The little green then chriped back at him.
Andol the instant his brother came in got alot less neverous. Though when he saw the dragon following him he was stunned. No one had told him his brothers dragon was a white. He looked suprised as the dragon curled up around him and he smiled timdly at it and repiled " Hello." He then reached out and began to scarth Purths eye ridges as he sat with looked at Aphrodie he then asnwered her question saying " I don't know really. I don't really think I will impress so I don't worry about it."
