Bamre looked over at Darket as the little blue came up to him and smiled. He was happy for his friend that he had impressed a firelizard. He remembered the time when he impressed Iron and he was hoping for anthoer.

Darket suddenly realized he had to give his little friend a name. Looking at it he decided, Pounce, for the little one had suddenly pounced on him for food, and impression. He wasn't very used to being pounced on for food by anybody or anything.

Originally, the candidate had come to the dining hall for a nice, steaming cup of klah. But when he'd noticed the small group of people gathered around the end of the table closest to the hearth, Andicher's curiosity was aroused. He heard them talking amongst themselves, and wandered closer, coming to the shoulder of the younger boy, Darket, and leaned over his shoulder to see what the commotion was about.
Apparently, it was about flit eggs. The tall youth fumbled an introduction to the riders in his midst. To the one who seemed to be in charge of the clutch, with whom he was vaguely familiar, he asked, "Um, hello sir- ah, C'lyn... sir?" Andicher blushed shamedly, then jerked his gaze from the bronze rider to the floor, then remembered the other rider, the taller, light haired one. F'mar, he recalled. He added, "And to you, F'mar, sir," glancing up accordingly and returning his focus to the basket of firelizard eggs. He was about to ask if he could have one of them when one started to rock.
By C'lyn's instructions, he grabbed a sliver of meat and held it out. When the first egg shattered and the blue it had contained impressed to Darket, the young man patted his new friend good naturedly on the back with his free hand to congratulate him. Andicher quickly brought his attention back to the eggs and the pretty little green that had just hatched.

The green wasn't waiting around either. Firelizards, unlike dragons, don't really think who to Impress. Whoever offers the best (in their mind) food will do. The green padded towards Andichar and grabbed for the meat he held.
Now the largest egg in the clutch was rocking. And yes, it had a definitely golden sheen to it..and when it cracked open, C'lyn gave a soft ooh. The tiny queen looked around, oblivious to the fact that she was still wearing part of her shell like a hat.

Bamre looked over at the other boy he had never meet as he had got the green firelizard. He smiled at this then turned and looked at the gold sitting there waiting hoping that one of the firelizards would come over to him.

The gold from the feathered egg shook herself, finally removing that embarrassing piece of egg shell. Her hide was a lighter, bright gold and she moved with utter dignity, and then chirped to the other firelizards before...
Hrm. Food. Leading everyone to battle against Thread would have to wait. Food came first, and she abruptly jumped half into the air, gliding to land next to Bamre.
OOC: Need more people to Hatch the rest!

((Sorry.))
As the first eggs hatched, F'mar picked up a bowl of meat and stood ready in case any of the hatchlings wanted to Impress to him. A Blue followed the Brown, impressing to Darket, one of the dragon candidates.
He smiled as another candidate entered. "Good day to you, Andicher," F'mar greeted him. He made it a point to know every candidate's name. After all, they might join his Wing someday if they Impressed.
The feathered egg hatched open into a gold, which was completely expected. He gave an appreciative whistle at the gold hatchling, then grinned at Bamre when she landed beside him. "Wow, she's a pretty one."

Bamre looked down at the little gold and he smiled at her and he said not really thinking that he was speaking aloud " Hello my dear." He then began to feed her and remembered his impression to Iron. He fed her slowly so as not to over stuff her. He then said " Now my dear what shall I name you." He then thought and looking at her beauty he realized what to call her and said " Ah yes I will call you Diamond."

Zenniel was late. Was it just her or was she always late? Or maybe it's the person that was role playing her? Either way, the poor girl was late. She hung to the back of the crowd, too shy to climb forward through the ranks of waiting people. Mura was quite content to stay here, too. He, like His, was shy. He didn't know what to do or how do spur her forward.
Zenniel had heard about the wonderful flitter hatching and thought a new fire-lizard would help her not be so... shy. Of course she knew that things probably wouldn't change. Oh well. At least she was here.

Kelyna almost laughed when the candidate didn't say hi to her but said it to C'lyn and F'mar. It was quite funny that nobody recognized her even though she was pregnant. Grabbing a piece of meet, she decide to try to impress a flit, since they were supposedly so great. Malarcyth told her, It might be fun to have a flitty friend, I wouldn't mind that to much.

Eldan had wandered down to the Lower Caverns. He hadn't really wanted to go anywhere, he was just wandering around getting used to the Weyr. His eyes lazily passed along towards the patch of people by the hearth. What was happening there?
He walked over to the group of people and peered over to the rocking eggs. Eldan grabbed a handful of the squishy meat and sat down. He didn't want to seem too intimidating to the hatchling firelizards. He was neutral on the subject, but that was no reason to let them go wild.

Andicher was taken by surprise when the little firelizard approached him so calmly, unlike her brother, as he was when she gently pulled the meat from his hand. The sheer contrast between two of the same baffled him. However, once his new pet had swallowed her first food, she was ravenous, demanding more and more until her owner was thoroughly amazed her belly could hold so much.
After the flit was done eating, the boy had time to consider a name. He set his hand on the table to allow her to climb up his arm. She obliged, stopping on his wrist and wrapping her narrow tail around his first two fingers, loosely binding them together. So Bind you'll be.
Andicher left his companion to sleep off her stomach, and he looked up in just enough time to see the dainty gold engulf the meat held by another boy, one he wasn't familiar with. Lovely in appearance, but sometimes hard in temperament. Andicher was content with his hatchling.

Zenniel noticed Bamre right away, even though she was too shy to do anything. She nodded, and gulped, before moving forward, inching slowly onward, toward the food. When she reached teh bowl she, quick as a snake, took the food, and took two steps backward. She was next to Bamre, who was holding a baby Golden flitter. Zenniel wanted a golden flitter. That would be fun, and maybe it would take her mind off the shyness.

Two more eggs rocked, then hit each other and cracked open. Two hatchlings regarded each other, rather bemused. The first was an unusually light colored bronze, almost gold in shade, but with the greenish tint that betrayed that he was definitely, well, a he.
The second was a particularly large blue. They stared at each other for a moment, and then the bronze started to pad around the circle, finally stopping in front of Zenniel, tilting his head. She'd do.
The blue, just sat there, as if hatching had taken far too much effort out of him to move right away, and kind of...sighed. Never mind that it was really the bronze that had cracked his egg for him.
