Aphrodie had frankly not set out to Impress two firelizards.
Two. female. firelizards.
They were both absolutely cute. Shimi was adorable, and Ocean, when she could keep her out of the water...
But right now, they were driving her to distraction. "I'm looking forward to when you girls can hunt for yourselves!"
Ocean just gave her a regal look.
It was weird how the firelizard she had first thought to be a mutated (not deformed, deformed implied ugly) blue was acting not just like a female, but like a gold. Shimi deferred to her in all ways. The dynamic was amusing to watch, but man...they ate -so much-.

Bamre and Purth entered the Candidate Barracks looking for Aphrodie. He wanted to see her two new firelizards and how they were doing. He then saw her and the two firelizards. Barme's fair swooped past him and landed next to the two firelizards and Aphrodie. Diamond though landed on Bamre's shoulders and so did Sapphire. Bamre walked over and sat next to Aphrodie and siad " Hello Aphrodie. So how are Shimi and Ocean." He smiled at her as he sat there and Purth curled around him. He then looked over at Topaz and Ruby who was sitting next to Ocean and chriping flirtaously at her. Bamre smiled at this. Iron was sitting curled up around Emerald. This aslo made Bamre smiled as he wondered about Iron and Emerald.

Aphrodie heaved a sigh of relief when she saw Bamre. "How do you handle them all? Even with Shimi doing what Ocean says..."
She tailed off, regarding the massive fair. Ocean chirped back at Ruby. Shimi hopped onto...any spare bit of Purth she could find, chittering gossip to the white.

Bamre looked at her and smiled and siad " You see that is the key. Becuase Shimi does what Ocean says then in reality you only have to be able to control Ocean and teach her to control Shimi. I do that with Diamond. I run her yet she runs the fair if you know what I mean. Yet Topaz will somtimes help her." He smiled at her hoping that she understood what he ment.

Aphrodie nodded. "Yes, but if I end up with an entire fair..." She studied Ocean. "I thought she was a blue. I wonder if she'll ever forgive me."
The aqua queen just posed. Blue. Hrmph. That was not a blue neck, now, was it?
Shimi kept chittering at Purth, flicking the white random, cheerful images, including one of her human with nothing on that hopefully would -not- get forwarded to Bamre!

Bamre smiled and siad " As I said you do the same thing. You would have Ocean just run the fair. It would be the same thing no matter how big the fair. That is unless you get anthoer queen. I can't help you there though becuase I don't have two queens. Not yet anyway. Oh and don't worry she may be mad now, but she will forgive you. I can promise you that." He then smiled and looked at Purth and the little green that was sitting and chittering at Purth. It then Purth said to Shimi You are a nice little one arn't you. He then turned to Bamre wanting to show him all the things the green was showing him. Bamre then smiled and when he saw one image he blushed and siad " Oh dear." He decided not to say anymore and pretend he had not seen it so as to not emberss Aphrodie.

Aphrodie, thankfully, was oblivious. "You'd call her a queen? I was sort of ranking her with the browns...but not sure. She -does- rather act like one. I wonder what kind of pretty colors she'll throw."
Eventually, Ocean would lay, and maybe... "Maybe more pink firelizards. That one's cute."

Bamre smiled after he stopped blushing and siad " Yeah it would be nice for her to lay more differnt colors. That would just mean that I would have to get more differnt firelizards. I still have to impress a Pink and a Aqua like Ocean. I am trying to collect every color for my fair. Yet the Pink one is cute though."

Aphrodie grinned. "Well, when she lays, I'll let you know. Shimi, too, assuming I can find the eggs. Greens sometimes hide them, after all."
She glanced at the various Bamre-flits. "I like Ruby, too..." A pause. "He's the second prettiest of the new colors." Of course, she was biased. Aquas were prettiest.

Bamre then smiled and siad " I would like that. Yet don't worry about Shimi. When she lays her eggs all you really have to do is to ask her and she will diffently show you I promise." Ruby then chirped at Aphrodie affectionalty becuase he enjoyed her compleiment. Bamre then siad to Aphrodie " He really liked the compliemt."

Aphrodie grinned, and then reached to scritch Ocean along her unusually long neck. "Well, he's pretty. They all are."
Shimi chirped.
"And yes, regular greens are pretty too, especially you, Shimi. I just hope they both don't go proddy at once."

Ruby chriped affectionatly at Aphrodie. He then flew over to her and landed on Aphrodie's shoulders and rubbbed his head angist her cheek. Bamre smiled and siad " It looks like you made a friend with him." When she complimented greens Emerald took that as a compliment and did what Ruby did expect he climb into her lap. Bamre luaghed at his two firelizards.

Ocean chirred scoldingly at the two firelizards who weren't part of -her- fair who dared land on -her- human! Every bit the queen.
Aphrodie burst out laughing. "Oh dear. I think I'm claimed!" And she no longer doubted that her beautiful little water lover -was- a queen...or at least thought she was.

Bamre thought to him self when Ocean chriped scoldly at Ruby and Emerald Oh dear. Bamre then reached up on his shoulder and took Diamond into his arms. She hissed at Ocean becuase how dare the lower queen scold the other flits in her pets fair. Bamre had grabbed her becuase he knew that a fight would have broken out. He aslo knew as long as he held her she would not try to get away form him and risk hurting him. Bamre then reached up and grabed Diamonds mouth and wrapped his hand around it. He then said " Diamond now calm down it's not that big of a deal. Everyone here knows your the boss." The little gold looked up at him angrily and then drooped in his arms as though she was pouting. Purth said to the gold Don't worry little one. We all know that you are the prettiest and the best. Purth was trying to ecougre the small gold. Bamre then smiled at Aphrodie as Ruby and Emerald returned to Bamre and curled up next to him. He then siad " Sorry about that when it comes to who bosses around my fair Diamond as a lot of pride on that subject." Bamre luaghed abit and said " She seems to think that she is the only one allowed to boss around my fair."

Aphrodie laughed. Ocean hissed back at Diamond, then settled protectively on her human's shoulder. "And Ocean, seems to think she can decide who gets to perch on me."
Shimi flitted back from Purth to land on the other shoulder. "Queens," the girl quipped.
Oh yeah. There was no doubting it -now-.
