Ocean tilted her head, regarding the hand, but didn't flit to it.

Aphrodie laughed. "She's hoping you'll give her a treat, I think." The water in the egg had confused Aphrodie. She wondered if there would be aqua dragons.

That would be sort of fun, actually.

Bamre then smiled and he held out a fish he had Iron bring him and he held it close to the hand he wanted her to land on. He then siad " I think this should be good egough of a treat." He then looked at Ocean curiously hoping that the Aqua would come over and land on his hand.

Ocean finally flitted over, letting Bamre take a good look at her. She was looking to make about brown size, but keeping her odd proportions.

"I think some people are going to think she's weird and deformed," Aphrodie said cheerfully. "I think she's perfect. And I bet that won't stop them begging for her eggs."

Well, maybe, some people might not want an aqua of their own, they were too different.

[Yamamoto]

Bamre smiled at the little Aqua and began to pet her head and then he siad " I don't think she is werid nor deformed. I think she is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." Diamond looked at him and chriped jealously. Bamre luaghed and siad " You are bueatiful to Diamond." Diamond chriped knowing she was the most bueatiful. Bamre then siad " I would though like one of her eggs so that I may have a Aqua to. He looked at Aqua and siad " You would not mind that would you Ocean?"

Aphrodie hrmed. "You can have an egg...of course, I don't think aqua eggs are visible." Maybe you could tell from handling them. "I'd imagine she'll also produce a lot of browns, blues and greens. Maybe a pink or two. Probably not a gold."

With her being so much smaller, Aphrodie was assuming any queen from Ocean's clutch would be another aqua.

Bamre thought for a sec and siad " No I think they might be. If the Aqua is the queen in a Aqua's clucth then Ocean will treat that egg just like Diamond did Dawn's egg and keep it closest to her. I found that usally the mother of the clucth a least has a good chance of guessing what is in what egg." He looked at Aqua and smiled becuase his comment had aslo been a compliemt to her intellagents becuase he knew she would like hearing that.

Aphrodie nodded. "Point. Shame they can't talk." Of course, wouldn't dragon females have the same idea, so maybe it was only queen eggs.

Malaracyth had supposedly spotted some of the 'mutant' dragons, but not all of them. So, maybe it was just not entirely reliable. Like some women being able to tell if they were carrying a boy or a girl.

Bamre smiled at this and he siad " They have there own little way of talking. After you have had a flit for a turn or two you start to pick up on the things that they are saying." He looked at Iron and smiled at the older flit. Iron had been with Bamre for three turns so Bamre had pretty much learned form him on how to read what flit is trying to say. Then again they all had differnt personallitys so it took some getting used to the new ones.

Aphrodie nodded. "It's not entirely reliable, though. I mean Malaracyth only found three of the odd dragons."

She paused for a moment. "Then again, those are the three who are maturing oddly. Maybe that's how, maybe their minds developed faster."

[Yamamoto]

Bamre nodded his head in agreement and said " Yes I agree that it is probley not entriely reliable. Yet in my opintion it is better than nothing really. I think though it will be a wait and see process really." Though Bamre did really want a Aqua becuase he thought that Ocean was so cute and he wanted a flit like her. He aslo liked that pink one aslo.

Aphrodie nodded. "I'd imagine she won't lay quite as many as a gold, being smaller."

But she still wondered whether Ocean would be more likely to throw even more interesting colors. She wanted a pink one herself...

"But hey, as long as they're healthy, that's all that matters."

And when Malaracyth clutched...

Bamre looked at Ocean and siad " Well it does not matter really how many she lays, but as you said that they are all healthy. Though I am more hopeing that she will lay more new colors rather than alot of eggs. I would like a Aqua of my own and aslo on of those cute little pink ones. Topaz has had chase him off a few times becuase he keeps flirting with Diamond though it annoys her becuase she is picky and does not like anything, but bronze's."

Aphrodie nodded. "A lot will depend on what flies her. At her size, she's as likely to be flown by a brown...or that pink...as a bronze."

Incest didn't affect firelizards. "I wouldn't mind one of the dark red ones myself, but isn't Ruby the only one so far?" A pause. "Could he and the pink be variants of the same color?"

[Yamamoto]

Bamre said " Yeah and if that pink flies her then that in reality could increase the chance for more mutations." Bamre then reached over and picked up Ruby and held then little burgendy and siad while he petted the firelizards head " Yep he is the only one so far. Though I don't think that him and the pink are variants becuase of there size differnts and the fact that Ruby is so much darker as to make him a differnt color."

Aphrodie hrmed. "Maybe. We don't know if the mutations are going to breed true. For all we know mutant cross mutant might mean more normal colors."

Then she grinned a bit. "Somebody should keep records. Like, say, somebody who collects firelizards."

Not that she couldn't do it herself, but Bamre was definitely paying more attention.
