The aqua hesitated. She actually seemed to look over everyone there once more, then she spread her wings, helping them dry. She did not, however, yet attempt to take to the air. Instead, she padded straight towards Z'mir, her attitude clearly that not of one who was about to become owned, but the very reverse...all of the ego of a gold in a slightly smaller and distinctly webbed package. While she was doing so, the green did try to fly, misjudged it, and crashed right into Synchella, with a bit of an oof, peeking up at girl and pink. Her wings were vaguely crumpled, although they seemed undamaged. And the last blue just sat there, blinking slowly. Maybe...he chose the very *closest* person to where he had happened to hatch and took his time getting there, using as little energy as possible to pad over to T'relm. Chirp? OOC: It's done .

Wasn’t there some kind of saying about being careful what you wished for? Zamora was fairly sure there was, and, as the young aqua stepped away from her dam and towards Z’mir with all the self assured pride of a queen, she was fairly sure it should be applied to her brother right now. That was one firelizard that didn’t look like she’d take too much of Z’mir’s curiosity before she put him in his place.
Oh there was another crash landing, Zamora rather hoped that these young firelizards would grow to be just slightly more coordinated before they ended up somewhere really hazardous to their health. Well it looked like the green was happy with Synchella at least so she wouldn’t be crashing into anyone else for a while. The blue did not seem inclined to follow his sister’s example however, he seemed to have chosen someone, though Zamora could not see who, because his eyes quickly picked up the rainbow of colours all dragon kin seemed to display at Impression.
----
Idara smiled as the last three firelizards chose their new owners, or perhaps their owned based on the aqua hatchling’s behaviour. Her expression was as much a reflection of Tuinth’s happiness as her own, for the gold dragon was delighted to see all the firelizard hatchlings Impress. Sometimes Idara had to wonder what Tuinth would be like when her own hatchlings Impressed, if it was anything like this at least she wouldn’t be making the candidates lives a misery.
Turning her attention back to F’red after the rather long pause and trusting that the young man wouldn’t mind Idara’s expression changed from the gentle smile to a more wicked grin that was just full of amusement at F’red’s expense. ‘Oh Menudoth likes her male dragons does she? So do you have anyone picked out from among their riders?’ the goldrider inquired in a teasing tone, though if the sapphirerider had thought to ask her the same question about bronzeriders Idara would have just about died of embarrassment.
----
All of his musing were driven quite forcefully out of Z’mir’s head by the commanding gaze of the aqua hatchling. She was his? A small but dignified snort of contempt from the firelizard contradicted him. No, he was hers, and his first duty was to feed her.
As he picked up the young queen, for now she was bonded to him Z’mir had no doubt the aqua was a queen, and moved away from the last two hatchlings to get her some food the silverrider’s attention moved from the origin of the aqua to what he was going to call her. Even as he offered her food Z’mir considered and discarded a half dozen names as too plain, too common, too fancy, or just not right for her. ‘You will be Thesa, after a dolphin I once met,’ Z’mir eventually told the unconcerned hatchling. ‘She was a well respected female, and a strong personality, I think you will share those traits with her.’ Thesa just ignored him.
