Andol just smiled and said " Don't worry about that. You are not the only one. It does not really matter in my opintion what you impress. It is more that you impress. I think impressing a low ranking dragon is better than being left standing." Andol was secertly hoping for a blue. Yet he would not mind a green or a bronze because those colors would problery push him to not be as shy as he was.

Marakar considered. "True, but we both have plenty of chances. And besides, if you get left standing at Malaracyth's hatching and then Renth clutches...they'l need candidates for those dragons too. And those dragons are more likely to have mutations, surely."
He would be happy with any dragon, but a unique colored one would be fun. A lot of fun.

Andol nodded. " Yeah that is true. Maybe I should not worry about it so much. I will have penlty of chance. Though I would like to impress one of the new colors. That would be most intersting. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens when the eggs are clucthed and then the hacthings come around."

He suspected she would, from the size of her, but...who could really tell? The dragons themselves probably didn't know.
The female blues and browns might or might not too. They could definitely use the dragons, though. He was sure of that.

Andol just nodded. " I know that that is a possiably that she might not, but I think that it is best to think of thing on the postive side. You know what I mean. I used to be a pessitmic person a whole lot yet I don't want to be that way anymore." He wanted to change and for the better. He had noticed that he was a little more willing to talk to people. Though it was going to be awhile before before he stopped being shy.

He could wait. He was in no hurry, and being in a place where his sexuality was accepted meant more than a dragon anyway. The only people who might react badly to him being gay were girls who thought he was cute.

Andol nodded his head in agreement and siad " Yeah I guess you are right. Beside did that wait I have Leaf here to keep me company. Plus I can play with my brothers firelizards sinice some of them are quite playful. Epecially his blue and his green." Andol knew that a wait would not be that bad plus it would give him more time to get used to the weyr before he had to take care of a dragon. If he impressed that is.

Marakar considered. "I thought the only firelizard that was not playful was a dead firelizard. Or maybe a broody queen."
He glanced around for Leaf. She was such a pretty little...not so little, really...green. He wanted a dragon just like her. Of course, some might argue that he was too even-tempered for green and that, perhaps, blue would be more likely.

Andol nodded and said " While most of the time that is ture. Some like my brothers gold flit Diamond does not like to play. Expect with him that is. Even then she doesn't do it much. Yet other that most firelizards are playfull. I think that it has more to do with personallity than anything else." Andol did not really want a gold firelizard of his own unless he ended with a large fair then he would need one to control them.

Marakar nodded. "Golds, I suppose, have their dignity. I mean, the dragons do, and firelizards are.." A pause. "Not dragons, but you can see that they're related."
A dragon would be insulted by the comparison, but it was so obvious. They were put together almost exactly the same, just size...and intelligence...the difference.

Andol nodded. " All firelizards have there diginty in one from of the other. Though you are right to say that gold's show it more. Though about the relation I can see that. I just consider firelizards mini dragon's who can't talk." Andol knew that firelizards were not as intellagent. Yet he did not want to think of them that why.

Marakar considered. "Don't tell your dragon that. I hear they get kinda offended if somebody implies they're just very big firelizards."
He hoped that he would have both before too long...everyone around here seemed to have a firelizard or three. It shouldn't be too hard to get his hands on an egg.

Though I son't plan on telling my dragon that ethier." Andol could not wait till there was a hacthing so he could see if he impressed. Though he doubted that he would.
