Andol nodded and siad " Yeah somtimes. Though she is pretty crafty about it. So she doesn't usally get cuaght." Leaf was very smart. Andol had figured that out many a times.

Marakar nodded. "Yeah. And I bet she knows which cooks are good for handouts and which aren't."
He'd known canines who could work that out, and firelizards were definitely quite a lot smarter than -dogs-.

Andol shrugged. " I really don't know how she does. The extent of my knowaglde is that she comes back with food I know good and well she did not go cacth on her on. Though she problery has found some cooks willing to feed her. There problery alot that do that around here with my brothers fair invading the kicthen alot." He knew the sight was problery funny and he would love to see it one day.

Marakar grinned. "She's begging, I'll bet. And your brother doesn't have a fair...he has an entire -flight- of the things."
Was he jealous? Only to a point. He wouldn't want that huge a number of them, but he did feel sort of left out that he had none. If he was lucky, he'd have a dragon soon.
"Then again, I bet I'd have a hard time resisting any of them if I had food." He actually checked his pockets. Empty, for right now. Maybe he should take to carrying treats around. It would, after all, make him popular with the firelizards...

Andol smiled and siad " Yep that is somthing that she is good at. That is way she always gets what she want." He hugged the green close as he said. It was quite ovbious that Leaf was problery one of the most spoiled flits at Allride. Of course then again she was the most improtant thing in Andols life at that moment.

Marakar smiled. "She's a pretty girl. And spoiled rotten. I'm surprised she -needs- to raid the kitchens."
Andol would, he sensed, give his firelizard absolutely anythingg she wanted. Maybe that would change when he got a dragon...
"You'll probably spoil your dragon, too," he teased, cheerfully.

Leaf chirped at Maraker when he compleinted her. Andol just smiled and said " I mostly have her do it sometimes so that she gets some excersie when it comes to get her food. I may spoil her, but I am not going to let her be lazy. Becuase if I did that then I wouldn't be taking very good care of her." He comptempalied Marakar statement and siad " Problery so. Then again it will depend on there personailly. As with Leaf I don't plan on letting my dragon be lazy ethier."

Could a dragon get fat? He assumed so, if the dragon was eating too much and not flying enough. Certainly none of the ones here were. He'd seen the Weyrleader be a slavedriver over flight drills.
Maybe there was a reason to be that way even if Thread never did come back.

Andol nodded in agreement. " Yeah that would be bad. Though I don't see any dragons around hear getting fat. Most of them are hard workers." Andol then giggled and siad " I bet the Councils dragons are fat though. Sinice they don't seem to do nothing."

Marakar laughed. "I bet the council's -humans- are fat. But...I think the council will take care of themselves, as it were."
He wasn't worried about -them-. He was worried about Thread coming back, sure, but not the Council.

Marakar shrugged. "When did -they- last have a Hatching? How many fertile females do they have?"
They were fading and Allride was growing, and people who wanted to be dragonriders...were coming here to have a better chance. They did not care about the 'risk' of Impressing a mutant any more than he did.
He'd be happy with an 'odd' dragon.
